Nice staff but disappointing room.

Told that due to the time we checked in, the only rooms available were directly above the events room which had a celebration happening and played music until mid-night which came through into our room. These rooms should be for guests of the event and not given to other guests. Very disappointing as couldn’t sleep until music stopped, if told before hand we wouldn’t have booked this hotel as we needed to leave early. We were told parking would be free when checking In, however this was after we were told by the hotel we had to pay for parking on an external app, which we won’t receive that money back. Manager was great onsite.

The bedrooms are tired. Cushions on bed dirty.2 people booked in, only 1 shower towel.Had to ask for another towel & fan. Noisey, so had broken sleep.When we questioned the parking payment,the receptionist changed from being nice to slideing us a complaints card over the reception desk to Best Western quite rudely. We used to stay at this hotel for some time, few years ago. So we thought we would give it a go again.. £17.80 for a small glass of white wine & pimms & lemonade was very exspensive.However our exsperience on 6th May,we will not return again.

Great place to stay

Great staff checking us in. Very helpful, and informative. Room was nice, clean and pillows were cosy and comfortable as well. Slept well, Shame we had to depart to the airport in the early hours of the morning.

Was told when we turned up that the room we reserved was taken but they upgraded us to an old room on another floor where the wallpaper was peeling off it’s needs to refurbished and that a party was going on so it will be noisy, if we had the room we reserved this would have been avoided not cool to change things at the last minute to suit yourself

Fantastic customer service. In particular Charlotte, who checked is in, was super friendly, welcoming and really really helpful. The hotel - clean, accessible, bright. Slightly dated decor but had all the makings of a good quality hotel. Would stay again.
