We stayed twice,one night 2 weeks apart.The rooms on the parking lot side have a lot less outdoor noise, the rooms on the back of the building are against Interstate 81. We got very little sleep in the room against the highway because of constant noise from traffic. Always ask for an odd number room because they are on the quiet side of the building.

I stop here twice a year as I travel from N.C. to NY and am always greeted by a friendly face. I am situated in a comfortable room in a quiet corner of the hotel. I appreciate the convenience of the parking right outside the building making it easy to carry in my belongings, especially if the weather is bad. Breakfast is varied and efficient.

The facilities were very clean. Location was great. Staff was super helpful and nice. My only issue: Curtains! Our room faced the parking lot in front of the hotel. The lot is very well lit, which is much appreciated, but the heavy curtains in our room could not be drawn together. The light one do, but the one's that block out the light so you can sleep really well do not. I'm not sure if this is a new design by the hotels to aid in customers not checking out late so they can turn the rooms and make more money but it sure feels that way. From a safety aspect you can see right into the rooms from the parking lot as well. Not that I was trying to look but at night when you glance up its not hard to, especially the rooms on the first two floors. I hope they do not continue to design the rooms with that design for the heavy curtains.

Very nice hotel for an overnight stop on way north. Right next to I-81 so we asked for (and received) a room on the parking lot side. Clean and comfortable room, but be sure to unfold the pillows before trying to sleep! Definitely recommend the nearby Bruster's Real Ice Cream for a treat, and the Sclafani's New York Bagels and Bread for breakfast!
