This hotel is a hotel like no other! After reading the reviews, I was worried about the heat and lack of fridges etc …. However I can’t believe anybody can say anything bad about this place ! It’s not just a hotel it’s an estate so the land and play areas make it extra special ! The rooms are spacious and clean, the restaurant food is excellent and the check in was quick and easy ! The rooms were cool with windows open and a fan provided. The pool is nice with loads of floats for the kids. I didn’t want to leave and I would return with my family.

Hotel photos and room descriptions are misleading. Service is pretty much non existent. Restaurant needs cleaning, servicing and more variety. 1- We got accommodated in an old building behind the beautiful hotel that we see in the advertised photos. We were told that the nicer building and rooms are fully booked. To note there are no lifts in the main hotel either. The hotel website must show photos of the older buildings and rooms as well as the new parts. 2- The staff have no clue how to be friendly or helpful to guests. Service is really bad, no room service, no water in the room, not even basic facilities like mini bar, cups in the bathroom or AC. The room had plug in fans which didn’t help in the midst of the hot British summer. 3- Main restaurant is average, the buffet far from great, options are limited and even the roast beef was mediocre. Servicing at the restaurant is hit and miss, tables outside aren’t cleaned or serviced. It would have been great to have parasols for example. All in all, lovely grounds around the hotel and the hotel building looks beautiful on the outside (the white building), but to stay there is something else, an experience we won’t repeat or recommend to anyone.

Lovely hotel grounds and the staff were very friendly. We went on a hot day and there was no air conditioning in the rooms. So it was hard with just the plug in fan provided. Breakfast was lovely and filling. Went for a walk around the grounds in the morning which was wonderful too

This hotel is outdated. Bathrooms modern and clean, however don’t go by reviews or pictures. They are deceiving. We were offered a suite for an extra £90 a night, it was smelly, did not except. The hotel restaurant also took an extra payment for our meal, which I had paid for, still not yet resolved. No robes in room, deffo not deluxe. Hotel to hot. Food ok not a lot of choice. Cocktails good. Beds awful, didn’t sleep. Not looking forward to next two nights.

A $12 Million Investment in Disappointment

Upon arrival at the De Vere Beaumont Estate, we were warmly welcomed by an email from the General Manager, Darren, proudly announcing a $12 million investment throughout the hotel. Sadly, not one penny appears to have been spent on guest comfort, common sense, or basic hospitality. Let’s start with the bedrooms – a triumph of aesthetics over function. Despite the UK’s increasing summer heat and this being a major hotel, there is no air conditioning in the rooms. None. Nada. Zilch. Instead, we were offered an assortment of sad, underpowered fans, borrowed from reception like contraband. They mostly served to move warm air around the room like an enthusiastic intern with no real influence. Then there’s the bed, which could double as a medieval torture device. I’ve slept on park benches with more support. I genuinely considered pulling the mattress onto the floor to see if it would help — and that’s not a metaphor. My back still hasn’t forgiven me. The restaurant buffet? Ah yes — where you must pay up front, like you’re about to do a runner after hoarding sausages. The logic here is either: 1. Guests are untrustworthy, or 2. The hotel is technologically stuck in 1997 and cannot charge meals to your room. Either way, it’s as awkward as it is insulting — and I’ve never before been treated like a dine-and-dash risk while eating a lukewarm buffet in a country manor. m
