All of the staff are so friendly and welcoming. This is the third time we have stayed at the , " Duke of York". The rooms are always clean and well supplied and wonderfully quirky. The food is exquisite, good suppliers and a talented chef make any meal you order an absolute delight. The choice of beers and ciders definately hit the spot and are excellently kept. We will, without question, be looking to return for more stays regardless of the season because any time of year is great here.
A fantastic find, we had a one night stay on way to Cornwall, the staff and food were excellent. The locals were all friendly and made you feel welcome
A beautiful old pub in a tiny Devon hamlet. Lovely room. Great drinks and meal in the evening. As well as a tasty breakfast. Very good value for money.
A very nice one night stay at this 15th century pub. Staff all nice, food excellent and considering only 22 houses in village the pub was very busy - obviously due to the quality of food on offer. Room was nice and comfortable - would recommend.
Quite an olde worlde type hotel. Very narrow country roads to get there, basic but quite comfortable, spaceous room, quite at night, plenty accessories. Fantastic food though, evening meals and breakfast, and staff extremely pleasant and helpfull.
