This was the worst experience ever in my travels. Basically I received a call on the day of checkin that the hotel was overbooked. Because I was on a tour I couldnât take the call so River Road Motel left me a message. I called back after my tour and left a message for the reception at River Road Motel to call me back. She never called me back. I arrived at the hotel after driving over an hour from Harmony, Minnesota to the motel in Wisconsin Dells. A girl past my husband was obviously upset after leaving the motel office. She said that they were overbooked. The door at the motel office had a note on the window to push the doorbell for service. As soon as the receptionist (Sarah) opened the door she told us âWe are overbooked and I already turned away 5 people!â My husband works as a manager at a hotel and told her that she should find us another hotel because we drove ver far to stay at the River Road Motel. She said that she was working on that. She wanted our phone number so that she could call us back but it was already after 4:30 pm. She said AmerInn had rooms and we could try booking over there. She apologized but she really didnât seem to care. My husband asked for the e-mail of the owner and she said that she didnât have his e- mail. She finally gave my husband an e-mail for the owner but the e- mail was a bogus e-mail to a contracting company that she is associated with. Very unprofessional service! First time that happened to me!
The lady call me day before my reservation and told me we don't have rooms available sorry for call you a the last minute. Bad service don't try to reserve there no safe
This place is a dump. I didn't feel safe staying here. Nothing at all like the pics. We left and didn't stay there. We booked a different hotel and ate the cost of this motel.
They canceled my trip day of when i was standing there checking in. It was the 4th of july telling me to find somewhere else to stay. After 5 hour of driving here, i had to spend another 3 hours finding somewhere else to stay.
This places canceled on me when I arrived to Dells. I even booked it 5 months in advanced. Would not recommend unless you want to stress yourself on trying to find at the last minute.
As the old saying goes, you get what you pay fore.
My bathroom had a window, when looking out the window there is a wall of another building and wires/cables and a birds nest. Curtains on the window would have been appreciated. The air conditioner didn't work very well. When paying for the room, I asked that my bank card not be charged. I gave them a credit card to charge. When I got my bank statement, the staff had charged my bank card. Not cool River Road Motell
We got to the property at 8:25pm and there was no one in the office. We rang the bell like the note on the door says to, knocked but no answer. I called the property numerous times and left a message and also wrote a message to them but have yet to hear back. We walked around the property trying to find someone but could not. We were unable to check in so I contacted Expedia and they were not able to get ahold of the property either. Their office hours posted are showing them being open until 9pm.
I wasnt even able to go. They called me, last minute, and told me that they overbooked by 26 rooms, and that they would not have a room for me. I booked and paid for this room well ober a month ago. I spent the mext hour looking for a room im je area and the.only ones Avail were 4Ă the price i paid for this one!. Because of this, i iss the wedding celebration that i was supposed to go to. This is unacceptable. This kind of thing has neber happened to me before. I am extremely pissed off about this situation!
We had two rooms booked. When we arrived at 6pm a very young staff (maybe 16 years old) sadly told us that they were overbooked. I asked if the owner or manager was there. I had spoken to the manager and confirmed everything a week before. She was in tears. I called why they didn't call us and let us know so we can get a different hotel? She said the owners didn't want her to call people. It was a sad mess and weird. I felt bad for the manager and young staff member.
