The culmination of 66 years of family history, Moosehead Lodge (est. 2002) provides a restful, spacious and luxurious experience for up to 14 guests. Perfect for family reunions, adventure travel, couples trips, girlfriend getaways, retreats, and anyone seeking a setting for an unforgettable vacation.

In our view, "the finer things in life" are more than just things. At Moosehead Lodge, we expand the definition to include mindful mornings spent watching the sun illuminate the Sierras; feasts with your favorite people; long, leisurely days on the lake; and cozy evenings sipping wine by a crackling outdoor fireplace, enfolded in the deep, meaningful quiet of nature.

But the details matter, too, of course. At Moosehead Lodge, you will find careful craftsmanship and rustic eleganceโ€”from the spa-like baths and gourmet kitchen, to the soaring ceilings and majestic logs that comprise this dream-come-true cabin.

Moosehead Lodge is close to Bass Lake, Yosemite National Park and local ski resorts. Only 1.5 miles to the lake for easy access but far enough away from the crowds to enjoy the peace and quiet. With a cozy homelike setting and plenty of room for the kids to play outside.. it is a perfect place for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and big groups.

The basement room is available for an additional fee of $150 per night and an additional $50 cleaning fee. It has another queen bedroom, full bathroom, and full kitchen and will accommodate two more guests for a total of 16. There is also a large open area perfect for yoga retreats or other times when large open space is needed.

Felt like home

The cabin is absolutely gorgeous and has views to the mountains in all areas of the home. As soon as you walk in entrance to living room area, with antler chandelier hanging from above, and enough room in the kitchen/living room for at 16 of us to hang out. The rooms/beds were cozy and was quiet enough for our two infants to sleep even with the family playing music. We played outside most of the time with deers constantly coming by the house to eat the grass that is in front of the cabin. I definitely recommend this cabin if you are looking to build some memories with your family. Other than the cabin we were only 20min from bass lake, 35 min to find, and 2 hours from Yosemite village/National park. Thank you for letting us stay in your home.

Lovely spot for a family vacation

We had our family gathering at Moosehead Lodge and had such a wonderful time. The house is as-pictured in the photos. Comfortable even despite outside temperatures as high as the mid-90s. The living room was perfect for hanging out as a group (the couches feel like clouds)! Yosemite ended up being quite a long drive, which we did anyway. But the proximity to Bass Lake and Willow Creek for swimming made up for it. Highly recommend!

It was breathtaking, the home, the view, everything!

It was a seamless experience. Kim was exceptionally responsive to my many inquiries. She suggested we take the garbage to a location near the rental if possible, which we did, but we had to pay for that service and it wasn't that close as it didn't open until 9 am and we had to check out at 10 am. I suggest that information be made available so the renters can make an informed choice as to whether or not they want to drop off the garbage, or leave it in the laundry room for the cleaning service to remove. Thanks for the amazing memories Kim, we will never forget this experience!!!

Quiet get away from the city

A Christmas Holiday at Moosehead Lodge

We had a wonderful time spent with family at the Moosehead Lodge. There was plenty of room inside and outside for all the kids to play. The layout and amenities in the Kitchen were excellent. Everyone slept great on the beds. Very comfy! Above all, our favorite part was spending time in the large yet cozy living room every evening with the beautiful wood burning fireplace.

Thanks to Kim for being so communicative. We were delighted to have plenty of room and lots of activities indoors when smoke was too thick to venture out. The toy box was especially appreciated for youngest of our group. Loved the deer and wild turkeys that came right up to the cabin at dusk and dawn.

Awesome Experience!

This was our first ALL FAMILY vacation and we couldn't have picked a more perfect location. Moosehead Lodge was all we could have hoped for. Kim was wonderfulโ€ฆ responding promptly to all of my questions and was a true pleasure to work with. Unfortunately, our group totaled 14 and I expect it will be growing so we will need to find another place close by to accommodate any extras because we definitely want to come back here!

Comfortable Home for a Large Group

We had a wonderful time at Moosehead Lodge. The home was simply beautiful and had plenty of space for our large group. Comfortable beds, spacious kitchen and oversized dining table. We were able to cook many meals and spend time around the table playing games. Some rooms donโ€™t have window coverings so that would be helpful to know in advance, but everything else was great. Kim was always quick to communicate with us and was a pleasure to work with. We hope to visit again!

Fantastic Stay at Moosehead!

The house was amazing- very spacious and beautiful. The owner responded very quickly to all of my questions and was very pleasant to deal with. Perfect for rest and relaxation!

First off, Kim was fantastic with answering all my questions within just a few minutes every time. This gave me great security in knowing she would be available should anything come up. Her instructions for arrival, check-in, and beyond were very clear and helped tremendously as we planned for our trip and what to bring/prepare. The cabin as a whole is very homey and inviting from the moment you step in with its high ceilings and wood decor. Our group LOVED the kitchen and dining room to gather for meals. Very spacious and plenty of silverware for multiple meals. The first floor's full bathroom was everyone's favorite with multiple shower heads and wall-attached water massagers. The couch in the great room was so soft we felt it embraced each of us and inviting that we often took a midday nap on it unintentionally. My personal favorite was the balcony that extended from 1 of the bedrooms, to the great room, to the dining room. It was very relaxing to sit in the sun in the AM with little to no noise and distractions. The space between each property allowed for more privacy from neighbors but available should there be any emergency. Overall, a very serene get-away for our group and we almost wanted to request for an extension! Would highly recommend this space to get away from bustling city life.
