This house has one of the best equipped kitchens of any place we've ever stayed. Why is that so important that I'm leading off with that? Well, we stayed over Thanksgiving where we did a lot of cooking, and the well-stocked cabinets had everything needed for food prep of all types. Other features: close proximity to the ocean, amazing view from the 2nd floor master bedroom, a cozy living room with lots of comfortable seating, and a spacious backyard with a lighted, covered picnic area and gas fire pit that we surely would have used more than one evening had the weather been more favorable (note to self: this place would make a great summer booking). There were a few maintenance issues but not enough to distract from our enjoyment. For example, the downstairs bathroom did not have locks so there were a few surprise interruptions to some of our family members engaged in their toilet activities but we worked out a system of only using one door to enter and keeping it open when not in use. I should also mention that this place is pet friendly and has a small fenced-in area immediately out back where dogs can be left unattended, provided they are not big enough to slip through the slats in the gate. The owner even provided a few amenities for the 2 pups that travelled with our family members. Best of all, nearly everyone congratulated me for finding the perfect Thanksgiving house to stay in, which made me feel good considering how much research I did before choosing this property.
