Check in major hassle
This place has potential but the managers have to plan operations and train their staff better. I certainly have a wrong in the check in situation. They sent me an online check in notice. I ignored it and opted to check in face to face upon arrival. SURPRISE! I went to the property and there was no one there. What the…? So I checked their former message and proceeded to jump through the hassle hoops to learn that the check in desk was back near the airport. So back to the airport I went. UNHAPPY! The staff were nice although there was a long winded discussion about what to do about the trash we would accumulate during our stay. Do you want us to come back here to drop off our trash daily? Very slip shod operation. Then in our room we noticed there were no cups/mugs for coffee or tea. Just plastic water glasses. UNHAPPY! They did supply a very nice kettle but no tea or coffee. The fridge was very cheap. No microwave but the room was clean as it’s a new property. English level is very low. Would I stay there again? Unlikely. Hotels dot com doesn’t have many options for Yonagunijima, yet. I heard from locals that they try to deceive the guests by giving them misleading information that sorta forced the user to buy their food or use their restaurants.
