The room is clean, the continental breakfast wasn't bad. It could be better if they had a waffle maker and coffee all day. The staff is friendly and efficient. Jayson makes sure we have what we need, and Tom is an effective handyman.

Do NOT go by the reviews or the pictures. Motel 6 is next door, that will be a better choice. Motel 6 will feel like a Holiday Inn in comparison to the Sutter Inn.

Dirty, bed sheets dirty,no towels in shower/bathroom, the smell through out theroom and hotel was horrible i will never book or recomend. So unpleasant.

The room was clean. The staff is friendly. It’s a no frills kind of stay, which the price reflects, but we’ve stayed many times. It’s clean. The beds are comfortable. It’s quiet. Due to my dependence on supplementary oxygen, I always request an accessible room. They always accommodate. We have reservations for Christmas coming up. If you just want a clean, comfortable place to spend the night, this is the one.

Three days before our stay, I was told the room I booked wasn’t available, which I understood. We were given a suite with a pull-out bed instead, but the pull-out was unusable. The bedding hadn’t been changed, and the smell was awful. When we asked for clean bedding, we were told we’d have to wait until 10:30 PM for the night shift employee to arrive. There is also no elevator, and we were placed on the third floor — something that should really be shared at the time of booking. The only good part so far of our experience has been the gentleman who checked us in. He was very friendly and professional.
