Cosy, simple apartment house "Gädi", 3 storeys, renovated in 2009. In the centre of Zermatt, in a central position on a slope. In the house: storage room for skis, central heating system. Steep, narrow motor access to 30 m from the grounds. Supermarket 200 m, restaurant 50 m, bakery 30 m, bus stop "Bahnhof" 300 m, railway station "Bahnhof Zermatt" 300 m. Mountain railway, ski rental, ski bus stop 300 m, ski school, children's ski school 100 m. Nearby attractions: Matterhorn Museum 100 m. Please note: no lift. Cabs cannot stop right in front of the house.
3-room house 90 m2 on 3 levels. Bright, modern and cosy furnishings: entrance hall with bath/WC. Upper floor: open living room with TV and wood-burning stove. Exit to the balcony, east facing position. Open kitchen (oven, dishwasher, 4 ceramic glass hob hotplates, toaster, kettle, freezer, electric coffee machine, raclette grill, fondue Set (chinoise, cheese)) with dining table. 2nd upper floor: 1 double bedroom with 2 beds (90 cm, length 200 cm). 1 double bedroom with 1 double bed (2 x 90 cm, length 200 cm). Balcony. Balcony furniture. View of the mountains and the resort. Facilities: washing machine, dryer, hair dryer. Internet (WiFi, free). Please note: not suitable for small children. Non-smokers only, non-smoking house.

Très chou malgré quelques inconvénients

Parfaitement aménagé, tout est neuf et propre, bien pensé. Très agréable. Le chemin d'accès est raide et glacé. La situation au centre du village est parfaite mais aussi plus bruyante le soir jusqu'à minuit et la nuit: sorties des bars vers 2h et des boîtes de nuit vers 5h. Les toilettes au rez de chaussée vous oblige à descendre les deux étages la nuit pour aller aux toilettes, escaliers raides. Donc à éviter pour des personnes à mobilité réduite et les enfants en bas âge.

Die spezielle Unterkunft.

Das Chalet liegt sehr zentral (eine kleine Querstrasse zur Bahnhofstrasse). Es ist klein (3-stöckig) und der kurze Weg/Treppe zum Haus ist schmal und uneben, aber das ist keine grosse Sache. Die Wohnung an sich ist sehr hübsch und modern eingerichtet; v.a. die Küche bietet alle Möglichkeiten (von Toaster über Mixer bis Kaffeemaschine). Das haben wir sehr genossen. Wir waren im Sommer dort und es war an den warmen Abenden manchmal etwas laut von den naheliegenden Bars/Restaurants.

Sofa abgenutzt, Sitzfläche zu tief und weich. Grosser gemütlicher Balkon. Keine bequemen Stühle zum Entspannen vorhanden. Betten und Matratzen tiptop. Neue schöne Küche, gut eingerichtet. Türfalle von Haustür war defekt, ist einmal in zwei Teile gefallen. Als wir den Defekt bei der Schlüsselabgabe gemeldet haben, wurde uns gesagt, dass das Problem bekannt sei! Warum wird dies nicht adäquat repariert? Nachts bis 2Uhr Lärm (Gelächter, Gerede) von den Bars an der Hauptstr.

Loved the home, not a fan of Interhome

The home was very clean, beautiful and had a fairly well-stocked kitchen. It was hard to find and I’m not a big fan of Interhome - the property management company. This is the second time I’ve used them and their fees are very high for not getting much from them.
