Only 45 feet (15 meters) from the waterline lies this exceptional small flock of three separated cottages on a beautiful and safe plot of fenced land in short walking distance to the village of Plaka. A few steps bring you from your cottage directly down to the sea which is directly in front of your terrace. OLOUS cottage is a spacy 1 Studio room with sea-view, a built-in kitchenette and a separate bathroom with sink, shower, toilet. It is located in the first line of the sea on the right when looking out to the sea directly by the stairs down to the sea and has a large natural stone built Barbecue. The 3 studios have been completely renovated and modernized in Spring 2022. They are inside identical with vaulted high ceilings, ca. 400 sq.ft. (about 37 square meters), large comfortable double bed (King size), separate sofa/bed (2m x 90cm), view to the sea, inside and outside eating area, built in kitchen (brand new 2022), separate windowed bathroom with marble tiling, Shower, sink, toilet. The Studio room has full A/C with the most modern inverter technology for enhanced environmental and noise protection. OLOUS cottage has its private shaded outside Gazebo with table and chairs, with unobstructed view to the sea as well as a private sunbathing area also just for you. The cottages are separated by high natural stone walls for a maximum privacy. The yards of OLOUS cottage and KOLOKITHA cottage can be connected by unlocking a usually locked door in case you want to rent both cottages. It would be hard to be closer to the sea or in a more relaxing spot with the soft sound of the waves around you. And it would be hard to find such a safe location far away from the big cities but still in short walking distance (ca. 650 ft, ca. 200m) of a friendly little fishing village with many original tavernas and cafes. A bus stop is close.

You will spend a wonderful and relaxing holiday directly above and on a beach on one of the most famously beautiful parts of Crete’s coast - the Gulf of Mirambello - the light and shades of blue changing with the hours of the day. It would be hard to be closer to the sea or in a more relaxing spot. The beach itself is a long and pretty curve of pebbles, with natural shade from tamarind trees. Just across the water lies the deserted island of Spinalonga with its poignant history and atmospheric ruins and from Plaka’s small harbour it is possible to join a boat to explore the island or hire one for pottering up and down the coast. Plaka also has shops and good tavernas serving fish and other Greek specialities. The walking distance between the properties and the village is less than 5 minutes along the road behind the beach. The village and complete area is a very safe place, far away from any large city. The less than 200 inhabitants that almost all live of fishing or tourism. A watersport is located usually at the beach.

Insurance: - The Client is strongly advised to take out comprehensive travel and medical insurance for all members of the party. Rental Period The rental period commences at 14. 00hrs on the first day and ends at 10. 00 hrs on the last day.

The cottages are located ca 100 meters from Plaka village, just a short walk along or behind Plaka Beach. Plaka has many taverns and cafés as well as a beach bar. On very rare occasions (2-3 times during the whole summer season) there is life music in one of the restaurants or beach bar that can be heard over the bay also in the cottages. It usually stops at 23.00

• Health & Safety: We cannot accept any responsibility for your health & safety while staying at the property. We will provide guidelines at the property to assist you in minimizing any risks to your safety. Security: Crete is still a very safe location and does not have a high incidence of crime. Actually Greece has one of the lowest crime rates in all Europe. We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to property or persons during the course of your booking. Damage caused to the property and/or its contents The Client must accept full responsibility for damage and breakages to the property and goods. All such damages and breakages will be charged for at replacement value and must be paid for prior to departure.
