We had a lovely stay at the cottage over 3 nights. The beautiful location and secluded position made this trip a relaxing get away. We enjoyed exploring the local area with many bushwalks close by and with an afternoon on the water with the Coast Up Close cruise. The local fish and chips were delicious as was the pizza at Tini. It was also a great chance to appreciate the local history that makes Akaroa a unique place in NZ.
Great break, overall good property. Great area. Kitchen sink drain had bad smell and was bit off putting. Should advise clients that they may want to bring bottled water as the tap water has a strong taste. View from the deck would be greatly improved if the large pine tree down by the lawn area had a branch trim. Overall did enjoy our stay and would consider returning.
We spent 3 lovely days in Akaroa with bird watching, hiking, kayaking and dolfin warching. Especially the kayaking in Pohatu was wonderful with lots of dolfins, seals, many birds and penguins near the kayak.
Unfortunately we had two cold days in Akaroa. But because of that beautiful Bach and fireplace we spent more time in than out. It was peaceful and cosy. Really enjoyable time watching at nice view or in the fire. Warm and comfy. Highly recommend.

We loved the quietness, locality and the facilities that this property offered us. The fire and spa bath were greatly appreciated extras. Unfortunately, the bottom sheet on the bed was not a fitted one and it was too small to be tucked in and the cottage got no sun at all even though the weather was glorious. Otherwise it was excellent.
Loved staying here. Very private, quiet (apart from the beautiful bird song), lovely view in a bush setting. Enjoyed being able to light the fire. Easy walk to Akaroa township.
This is a very lovely secluded property with native birds in the surrounds and clear unimpeded views of the night sky. TV entertainment and all amenities.
