It was after 10:00 PM when we checked in and after we got to our room, we discovered our TV didn't work. I called the front desk and the young man came and fixed it in just a few minutes. He was professional and courteous.
Room was clean but showing signs of wear.
A/C worked but was noisy.
Cleaning solution used had an overpowering fruity smell.
Many electrical outlets were worn out and unusable.
Room was clean but bathtub/shower was horrible. I think it was very outdated and someone had used poxy to patch it and it was terribly stained. We had to go to another hotel to take showers.
The room was clean, but there is some need for up-keep in the room use. The bathroom door opened inward, and the room was small, which made closing the door difficult.
The hotel is clearly old and in need of major improvements. The bedding was rough and uncomfortable, and overall the room did not feel very clean. Room looked worn out, and the general upkeep was lacking. Staff was polite, but that didnât make up for the condition of the facilities. Would not stay here again unless updates are made.
The best part of the stay was the check in. Staff were nice and professional. Beyond that though there was a lot left to be desired. We stayed in one of the suites. It was spacious and had 2 bathrooms, which I don't know that I've ever stayed in a hotel that had 2 bathrooms in 1 room but that's where the positives ended. Both bathrooms were sketchy. They weren't super clean and needed to be remodeled long ago. One AC window unit worked great in one half of the suite, the other didn't. So one half of the room was warm all night. The beds weren't the typical queen sized beds you'd expect to find in a hotel. They were fulls so they're wasn't much space if you sharing it with someone. And oh yeah, our toilet seat was not on the toilet when we arrived. I fixed it myself. All in all, I'd say you get what you pay for here at this motel (doors do face outside so I consider that a motel and not hotel). The rate for a suite was pretty reasonable but don't expect anything fancy.
We waited for an hour for the room to get cleaned. We ended up upgraded to a different room at no cost, which was a good service recovery effort by the front desk staff. When we got to the room, however, it was dirty with some debris from wall work that was done in the bathroom.
So far the service has been great. Front desk called within minutes of me getting to my room to check that my room was satisfactory and see if I needed anything. Hilda was very friendly, efficient and informative!
Check in was easy and quick, the room was nice and accommodating. Looks like it had been recently upgraded. Was simple and perfect for an overnight while we were staying in town.
