Felt safe in the hotel . Check in was quick and agent was really friendly. Near freeway. Menaul street lends itself to Coronado Mall (Macy's , Cheesecake Factory) Vintage Vault Antiques, World Market. Plenty of parking , wish they had a perimeter gate around the property. An Applebee's across the parking lot . I will say there again .

Nice, spacious, and quiet room. The place is renovated, but you still see glimpses of building age. Located around industrial businesses, so there's not much activity around. Applebee's across the parking lot is nice and a few other local dining options are within walking distance but you'll want to drive to them, especially if you have a family. 😉 A few folks off priority that looked homeless/suspicious.

The guy at the front desk was very nice, but the place smelled awful. The room smelled bad (bathroom smell). There were feces stains on the toilet seat and the toilet was clogged. I called and let them know, I had already cleaned it because I had Lysol wipes. The front desk guy apologized and sent the cleaning lady came and unclogged the toilet , but nothing else was offered.

It’s really nice knowing we almost always have a pet free option when staying at a Holiday Inn. With a kiddo that’s extremely allergic to animals, it’s getting more and more difficult to find options on hotels.

Great place to stay and restaurant close by

The beds are comfortable. We had 5 people but it didn’t have a couch. It didn’t have waste baskets in the room but just the bathroom only. At least in walking distance there is Applebees restaurant.

Slightly below average Holiday Inn Express. Room was clean but somewhat uncomfortable. Cheap uncomfortable sleep sofa. No cocktail table or dresser. Loud a/c unit.
