Our family had a wonderful time together in this lovely cabin! The floor plan allowed us plenty of room to be comfortable, but also to share large family meals together. The host was very kind and attentive during our stay. We would certainly stay here again.

Our pastors used this cabin for their annual retreat, and it fit their needs perfectly - clean, comfortable, cozy, private, and well-stocked. Alex was a wonderful and communicative host, and when there was a need, Tammy was quick to handle it. Highly recommend this space!

This is a beautiful home. It is very private and felt like a very safe place. We were within 30 minutes of Bryson City, the Cherokee Casino, tubing and golf. So will go back to this location.

What we expected and better

Our experience of the cabin was very accurate to the listing and even better than expected. Game room, hot tub, and fire pit were a hit with the youth. Cooking on the grill was great. Cabin had everything we needed.

It Can’t Get Better Than This!

What a fantastic property and an even better booking experience. From the very beginning, Alex was extremely responsive and answered my seemingly endless stream of questions. I was very impressed by what the property had to offer, from the beautiful wood interior to the pool table and hot tub, to the exceptionally well-stocked kitchen. I had a group of 10 friends and we had plenty of room. We were only there for 2 nights but I wish we had stayed longer!We stayed here to drive on the Tail of the Dragon, which is about 45 minutes from the house. We had zero issues fitting a bunch of cars in the driveway, and there was even a hose to wash them :)Alex continued to answer questions throughout our stay and I always felt taken care of. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever and I look forward to staying here again!

Above and Beyond

Everything met our expectations and MORE! We had an incredible time at this beautiful cabin. Alex checked on us by text multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed. This was a family trip we will never forget. Also, the location was perfect for everything we wanted to do
 hiking to see beautiful water falls, snow boarding & skiing, snow tubing and mountain coaster, and an amazing trip on the Great Smokey Mountain Railroad!

Most Memorable Weekend

We came up to go to my college graduation from WCU. Friday was my 49th birthday, graduation on Saturday then ended on Mother’s Day Sunday! There four generations there for the weekend and everyone had the most amazing time. My four year old grandson was never bored, between the jacuzzi, air hockey, arcade game, Lincoln logs and fire pit
he was able to find something fun to do from sun up to sun down! My mother-in-law, husband and 2 sons played a very competitive game of pool while the rest of us chilled out on the couches. The many chairs on the beautiful porches gave us many options of quiet places to sit and laugh and make more memories . We enjoyed our traditional low-country-boil out on the spacious picnic tables. The convenient check-in and check-out process made this trip even more stress free! I cannot think of one thing that the amazing host,Alex, could have done to have made it a better place to stay! I highly recommend this place and we are definitely looking at coming back!

Great Mountain House

Good location close to Bryson City but up on a nearby mountain. House was great, everything was as advertised and kitchen utensils are very well stocked, along with a pretty much brand new Weber grill. Overall it was exactly what we were looking for.

Magical

At first the road concerned us (a little narrow and rustic for .5 miles), but the destination is Hallmark movie worthy. The feeling is isolated, but there are neighbors. Plenty of space for multiple families. Refrigerator is huge for all of the food we brought. We didn't have to run into town for any basics. As the grandparents, my husband and I were grateful for the bedroom and on-suite on the main level.

A Perfect Thanksgiving

Perfect place to have a Thanksgiving get together. Property is well maintained and very comfortable. Owner thought of many small details for guests. A perfect mountain log home setting. Lots for the little and not so little kids to do. Would definitely come back.

Better Together Indeed!

From the moment we booked until the moment we left everything was perfect! We have three grown children and arranging family vacations is hard with everyone's busy schedules, careers, spouses, etc. But this mommas heart isn't ready to give up these precious moments. This house was perfect to accommodate everyone with their own bedroom, and provided plenty of bathroom space. The owners have thought of everything to make this home away from home experience warm and welcoming. An abundance of activities for us to spend time together instead of in front of a TV or tablet/phone. We cooked out, had smores over the open fire under the stars, played pool, airhockey, arcade games, and cards while listening to music and talking for hours. We really enjoyed sitting on the back porch in the mornings sipping coffee. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We did not take advatange of the hot tub, but it was clean and would have been perfect for a dip. The pond in the community was great for and evening stroll, fishing or swimming. Our boys brought their mountain bikes and were just a few minutes away from the awesome Tsali trails. They had a blast and I believe that was the highlight of their trip. I booked a guided fly fishing trip for the 6 of us with Fontana Guides had a great time wet wading in the river casting flies and trying to land a few trout. I believe our daughter is hooked and will be back again again to fly fish. Check-in/checkout was a breeze! We will definitely be back

Another great whitewater rafting and hiking family vacation!

Cabin was large and clean with useful layout for guests. Three floors each w/ bed/bath combo. Easy enough access winding gravel road entry through cute neighborhood (a little slippery in rain but nothing our mini van could not handle). You will hear and drive by neighbors but not see them through the trees and position of the cabin. Walking in the evening down to the pond is a favorite. Pluses - hot tub and back deck off dining and kitchen on the second level is great hang area, firepit and back yard on basement level is perfect spot for making smores. Pretty wooded mntn spot. Cabin feel. Internet works great. Owner communicates. Minuses - beds are hard stiff boards, basement is cold while main level is hot, kitchen pans are rental-cheap with warped bottoms, scratched non-stick, aluminum, no storage containers. No long-range mntn view. Careful with your noise level outside because neighborhood, security light and camera out back that will pop on when you grab your firewood. Six TV remotes but no Vizio that matched or clear directions. Good location for some of our favorite spots - 5 minutes E. to paddling/swimming at Finger Lake day use, 20 minutes NE into Bryson City shopping/eating, 30 minutes N. to hiking falls and tubing down Deep Creek, 25 minutes S. to the Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) eating/shopping and rafting the Nantahala, 38 minutes E. to Sylva shopping/eating and rafting the Tuckasegee, 40 minutes to swimming/hiking at Cheoah Beach Point at Lake Santeetla.

A city girls first trip to the mountains

Our rental at the cabin was wonderful! Alex and Tammy were so helpful and accommodating, and the cabin was simply beautiful. Our original group consisted of 5 but ended up being only 3, so we had more than enough space, but we would have still been very comfortable with the original 5. I will say that with 3 of us the water level in the hot tub was high so if it had been more of us I’m sure water would have spilled over the sides. There is only one tv so I brought along my own and we used it in the living room. It was very simple to connect to the wifi. Maybe adding one on the main level would be a good idea. One of the massage chairs didn't seem to work but we really didn't spend that much time in the loft area, so it wasn't an issue for us There is a thermostat that controls upstairs only and one that controls both the main level and downstairs so keep that in mind when choosing your room/floor. I love the fact that there were black wash cloths especially marked for makeup as I usually bring my own so not to stain ones from a hotel/rental property, but I had forgotten mine on this trip. The ironing board has a little damaged spot, I'm not sure how to describe it, but I placed a wash cloth under the ironing board cover so that my clothes wouldn’t snag and it was fine... I'm just now remembering that I forgot to remove the cloth, lol. There is a very helpful manual in the cabin with instruction for everything and restaurant recommendations. A perfect trip to the mountains!
