The bathroom door in room 200 squeaked loudly when opened. Not good in the middle of the night. No courtesy umbrellas for the guests to get to their cars.
very disappointed. We waited about 15 minutes before anyone came to the front desk. After check in we went up to the 3rd floor and our room was not ready. Had to wait another 15 minutes before that was rectify. They did give us a upgrade to a suite on the first floor. So that makes up for it. Staff needs a major trainee program. Hampton Inn needs to recruit to bring in more qualified help and train them.
Very nice facility, only thing I could say is the room doors don't seal to the floor and hallway noise transfers into the room, other than that very nice pleasant stay in room 213
It was a nice, brand-new hotel. We booked last minute to visit family. The assistant manager was sweet and professional. This will be our top pick when traveling to Alpena.
Clean, new property, very helpful staff. The walls are incredibly thin, I had a first floor room and couldnât sleep with road traffic, hearing and feeling people walking upstairs, snoring coming from some direction, and hearing other toilets flushing.
Business trip 4 days. Only issue was it took a very long time to find my reservation. I was upgraded for my room though- apparently there were several out of order. I will be back!
This hotel has only been open for about 6 weeks and everything is brand new and lovely. Beds were very comfortable, and the rooms were clean and nicely set up. The lobby was spacious. The staff were super friendly and nice. The breakfast was nice with lots of great waffle toppings as well as eggs, yogurt, potatoes, bacon, oatmeal with toppings, etc.
We booked 3 rooms last minute through expedia to celebrate and use the pool to relax after my daughter graduated and we finished her grad open house. We checked in between 5-6pm. At about 6:45pm when i called the desk to ask a question i was then informed the pool was closed and had been since the hotel opened. Nowhere throughout booking was there any mention of the hotel pool being down. The front desk person, Garrett was very polite and even called another hotel regarding us using their pool, which they allowed us to, until 9pm, giving us 1 hour to swim. We wasted a hell of a lot of money on rooms for nothing. We live local and stay locally on a regular basis. We will stick with Days Inn.
The place is brand new, so everything is in great condition. However, when the staff started fixing breakfast, banging pots and pans, talking loud, and waking me up at 4:45 am, not good. I even went out and told them to keep ot down, i was sleeping. They didn't.
