NEIGHBORHOOD: Southern Guesthouse is in a safe and quiet location in a very small town. It's easily accessible to anywhere in Altavista and only 4 minutes off of Highway 29 to get to Lynchburg or Danville.

ACCESSIBILITY

For our guests with mobility issues, the main floor is level except there is a small step (approx. 6 inches) down into the kitchen, bathroom #1, bathroom #2 and bedroom #2. The living room has 3 small steps down.

Our family had a wonderful time during our little reunion here. The house was perfect for a family get together. The outside was a great place to gather with a hot tub and fire pit, and everyone had plenty of personal space in the house. It was also great for kids. We will definitely be returning again next year.

The Guesthouse

We attended a wedding at The Southern Granary and were happy we booked at The Guesthouse. We had a full house with 10 adults and young grandchildren. The place was cheerful, clean and inviting with room for everyone. The property was picturesque. The hot tub was amazing. The kids' "hideaway" room was a huge hit with the young ones. The beds were comfortable and the rooms well appointed. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
