We arrived at 2:30 am. The woman in the Front was very kind and helpful. Our room was very clean. The breakfast had a lot of options. We used the gym and it was neat and it had sanitizing wipes available.
There is a huge AMC right next to it in case you want to watch a movie and a lot of restaurants nearby.
This hotel was very nice.
Comfortable, clean, quiet, convenient.
Plenty of places for dinner and breakfast was great.
We will stay here every time we visit Altoona.
Thankful. We tried staying at the Country Inn and Suites across the street and it was disgusting. This was a fabulous, clean and comfortable stay with a great breakfast.
They "had no record" of my reservation when I showed up. Had to rifle through my luggage to find the confirmation (that I fortunately printed out)!
In the room, I was met with three signs:
1) There is no coffee maker in your room because we "want to cut down on plastic cup trash"... though there are plenty of plastic cups if you want to go down to the lobby to get your coffee.
2) The grip/traction mat for the shower is not in the room - but available if you come down to the lobby!
3) After all this, there is a sign that has the audacity to ask for a tip!!
Ridiculous!
Very poor nightmare of a hotel. AVIOID at all costs!!
Our only issue is we had some younger people next door in 303 who were very loud and wanting to party all night but we called the front desk and it was pretty much addressed right away. Thank you.
Our stay was very pleasant. Staff was attentive. Room was clean and beds very comfortable. Complimentary breakfast had a great selection. The pool was very cold but our stay was great.
This was a nice hotel. Quiet, even though it appeared to have a lot of people staying. Quick check-in and was able to check in an hour earlier. Typical room. Was clean, comfortable bed. Roomy. I was given my request for a top floor room. The big surprise was the AMC theater right across the parking lot. With not much else to do other than dinner somewhere we did take in a movie. So convenient. Close to restaurants and other shopping. On the outskirts of town, so not in downtown which was fine.
The breakfast was typical free breakfast, but it was FREE which is great since many places are either not offering free breakfast or charging for it.
I'll be back to the area next summer and will definitely stay here again.
Unfortunately, my dad became ill and we had to leave a day early. We tried to work with the hotel and get a refund for that, but they emphasize strict policy on cancellation. Very disappointed in that decision because people do have extenuating circumstances.
