The location was perfect. Check in was simple. The room was a good amount of space for 2 people. The bed sank in at the middle a little bid - it’s probably just an old mattress, but it was fine at the end of the day. Pillows were fluffy. The bathroom was spacious. This was one of the better stays throughout our Europe trip.
Unfortunately I cannot recommend this hotel, except for its location, which is very convenient and lovely. The main issues were: we could hear something that sounded very much like mice scurrying inside the wall behind our beds. When I asked about this at the front desk they were not very surprised, and said "Well, Amsterdam has mice." The other problem was that people were smoking outside our back window late into the night. I think the arrangement of rooms and private patios is not so good for sound and smell-proofing, and it was very disturbing to our rest. At one point I was in the bathroom and I noticed that through the semi-transparent glass window there was a person right on the other side of it, presumably another guest on their terrace. I thought I was in a private space in our bathroom, but then I was really alarmed to see there was someone just a couple feet away from me outside the window. Also, there was some kind of loud drainage pipe that ran through our wall and made odd and loud sounds. My boyfriend and I barely got a wink of sleep :( .
We enjoyed our stay at NL hotel. The room was small, but comfortable and clean, and has a lovely view of the canal outside. It was conveniently located to the 397 direct bus from the airport and within walking distance of downtown (if you like to walk). Very close to the museums. Nice area with many local restaurants and bars. The only hiccup was that there was nobody around when we arrived and nobody answered the bell. We had to phone a number that led us to another hotel one block down. It got sorted out within a half hour though. We’d stay here again.
Enjoyed my stay and would stay again. Room was clean, well appointed, and spacious by Amsterdam standards.

For the price it was a good value. Easy check in and nice staff. Bed was comfy and it had a fridge which was a plus. After staying in some tiny London hotels it actually felt roomier than we expected. Only negative is the shower is open so the bathroom floor would be soaked after a shower.

Friendly staff, good location, however the room was small. Big enough for a weekend stay. No good if you have mobility issues.

Staff was super friendly, very small room and uncomfortable shower. Stairs very narrow, but is something you should expect in Amsterdam.
Great location to see the centre and the outer, more residential areas of Amsterdam. The room (canal view comfort room) was spacious enough. The cleanliness of bedding and towels was subpar on occasions. The stairs were scary but not unusual in Amsterdam.
We stayed in October when the school was out so this hotel was over $250/night and NOT worth that. It was relatively clean but you could tell the building is old and a little rough with things such as the toilet seat falling off and a windows hing broken so the window sort of falls out when you try to open it. The shower design also wasnt condusive to several people getting ready at the same time as the shower walls were essentially the walls of the bathroom and the shower drain was very slow so if you took more than a 2 minute shower (not joking here) the bathroom floor would flood. Making it hard to get ready when someone is showering or for a period after while the bathroom floors drained.
Overall, good location and comfy, clean beds. Just not worth what we paid for it at the time, at all!

It was a nice location, unfortunately could hear everything outside our room. People coming in/out of building late into the night.
The hotel was typical for a European stay. I didn’t realize until the last day that there was a small fridge in the room. The room was very small. No o food services at the hotel, but a sandwich shop down the street.
Very nice location. Close walking distance to shop, restaurants, attractions... Small room but cosy and quiet. Very nice view of canal from our hotel room. Very clean room. Great intimate hotel. Definitely would stay here again on our next trip to Amsterdam
Property was great overall. Rooms were just a bit smaller than what we’re used to but it worked from a functionality perspective. Clean rooms

While it was a pleasant surprise to find the property had a lift it was disappointing that it was adjacent to our room and occupied space that was formally part of said room.
