The property was really well positioned for a tourist in the city! Just off of major streets but quiet. Hotel is quite dated but everything was clean and comfortable. For a single person traveling alone - it was great! My only complaints were no ice and only feather/featherlike pillows. None that were more supportive. Overall though, would definitely stay again. I loved the hotel’s character!

Staff in the front office needs to be more friendly instead of aggressive. When I checked in an older gentleman was very angry about something and just because I asked him I checked in online he was not being polite so I went out to bring my wife and some lady helped me.

Nice Amsterdam stop over!

The location was walkable from the Central Train Station. There are a lot of restaurants close by however we were directed to the area of town where the locals eat which was also excellent. The hotel rooms were not fancy and the carpet could use some updating however the room was clean, the front desk service very friendly and spoke English, which helped me a lot, and the bed was very comfortable.

The hotel is right in the middle of the city so its close to restaurants, shopping, museums and attractions. The staff was very friendly! I didn't like how dark our room was—barely any lighting. We asked for toilet paper in our room but no one came, nor did they clean our room the first day.

Quiet and convenient

Friendly check-in. Easy to Metro. The hotel is not the Ritz; a bit spent but central, clean and quiet (was on 4th floor). Room was adequate and big enough to move around in. Comfortable bed and hot water. Daily cleaning if you don't put out Do Not Disturb sign. Breakfast was available and coffee was free. Would have been willing to pay for a latte from a push button coffee machine used in other hotels I visited. BBC and CNN on TV.

The LOCATION is in the best corner of the Dam square, which itself is in my opinion the best location in Amsterdam for pedestrians. Across from the 5-star Hotel Krasnapolski, which is excellent in every way. Rho is close to many popular restaurants, bars, canals, with short bridge to the red light district. That said, the rooms are extremely efficient, small, and therefore more noise than a larger hotel. The bed I slept in was one of the most comfortable ever, but just for one.

Always a go to hotel situated in the centre of the Old Town. Excellent breakfast buffet. The staff are full of fun and helpful and professional. Rooms are a little dated but comfortable and quiet considering where you are.
