The house is old and dilapidated. Its has a shotty remodel, and some of the furnishings are old or broken. The beds were so bad that we left and went to a hotel to sleep. No problems with the host. The rental is in the ghetto, and we were approached more than once by panhandlers.
The house was ok. The heat worked wonderfully. There was enough bedding and plenty of towels. The floors were absolutely NOT clean. Looked like pet hair in every corner. It smelled like urine in some areas as well.
This place was great. Lots of room, lots of hot water, nice kitchen, quiet area, close to everything I needed. Will definitely be staying there again when I need to be in Anchorage for work.
The overall stay was great, under our circumstances. Upon arrival, the house temperature was set to cold. It is winter time, so it was freezing in the house. The floor was still wet from being mopped in the living room. The beds had trash under them. But, like I said, overall, it was great. Nothing fancy.
Very nicely remodeled but the kitchen drawers and cabinets stuck it was hard to open the drawers and they didn't close good so that could be improved. And some things just looked unfinished but overall good for what we needed. The area seemed a bit sketchy i wouldn't leave anything in the car.
This place is a bargain and the inside is well kept on the inside for sure! It was very nice inside and very clean, the floors were sticky but clean. Unfortunately it was in a decent area but as we turned into this pocket of a neighborhood it did not feel entirely safe for my family. We got in late and someone that seemed high in drugs stumbled around near us as we parked our car as we unloaded out luggage. It was among run down condos and old cars, I couldnât sleep because I was nervous about my rental car being broken into. Google the area and if you a fine with it then the place itself was quite nice on the inside. I
Recently reno-ed property but a bit sloppy. Kitchen cabinets all stick closed, laundry room is below avg condition, no a/c (which I understand) but windows didnât open, fridge was kinda yucky.
Property was perfect size and convenient for day trips we had planned. My only concern were the homeless near the property daily. We were approached only once for money, however daily they were in the area.
Stayed here for 1 night after we arrived in Anchorage at 8:30pm. Instructions to find the place, parking and entry were great. The place was rather large for the 2 of us but we liked having the extra room. Didnât use the kitchen at all so canât speak to that but the rest of the place had minimal amenities (e.g. no hair dryer). Contacted the owner thru VRBO but no response. Overall, good for a short stay.
