The property management has no idea if the room A/C works or not; we got a room that was stinky with smoke smell. Complained to housekeeper and called Expedia also - no help we had a miserable stay 2nd day we left early checked out by 8:00 pm.

I have mixed feelings, but the end result was fine. The first room I was assigned I did not like at all. It was like a cell. The door was difficult to open. Since I am a woman traveling alone, my room had a street level entrance and wasn’t in the main building. I didn't feel safe. I went to the reception desk and asked for a room in the main building. After a reasonable upgrade fee I moved to the room I slept in and was completely satisfied. Very nice indeed.

We stayed for one night prior to going to Whittier for a cruise. Transport from the airport was provided free, very good and fairly quick. Beds were very comfortable even with my back issues. However a few poor experiences. Check in was easy but not friendly, breakfast also not too friendly was below expectations, no hot food except DIY waffles and toast. No eggs, no sausage which is pretty standard. The biggest concern was the bedding. There was staining on the comforter and the room was on the worn side.

The hotel lacks some basic amenities found in ALL hotels 1. Does not provide a bathmat…had to use a hand towel to step onto floor from shower. 2. No wall hooks in bathroom or in the room itself.Alaska is wet and having no place to hang wet clothing is unacceptable. 3. A folding luggage rack would be nice in the larger rooms

Filthy rooms, terrible service.

Went through 2 very dirty rooms, air did not work either, before getting a clean one. Stay in the main building! If they send you to a different building, say no. No elevators in the other buildings that was not disclosed in the description. Not happy with resolution either. Will not stay again.
