This review is for the Royce Hotel & Casino "older" tower. There is a newer tower of the hotel that is parallel to the old hotel. At the time of booking, I did not know that I had booked a room at the older tower. The room was outdated, but clean enough if you're looking for a quick stay & aren't expecting the Four Seasons or say even a Marriott. We only stayed for one evening and it did the job.
We had a terrible check-in experience, there were two female agents at the front desk. The one agent made up for it though with her customer service skills, the other one who greeted us upon check - in was rude and had a connotated notion. She made a comment and said " FOR TWO BEDS?" We're an interracial couple, why in the world would we need two beds when our reservation specifically was booked for ONE. After we told her no and to look at our reservation she did not speak after that, the other agent took over and completed our check-in.
The location is convenient food wise, there are restaurants across the street, or you can also dine at the hotel or request for room service. It is also near Clark Intl. Airport, it was a 15-20 min ride. If you require transportation to the hotel, you can reach out to them ahead of time (upon booking) & let them know.
We checked out the casino for fun. There were slot machines and tables ( at least what we saw).
Overall, I would rate the hotel a 3.9/5. For the price that we paid for a room, I had higher expectations, not a motel like room.
