Best 4 day relaxing trip!

This house was GREAT for our family. Myself, hubby, 4 year old shared the front bedroom; sister in law, her hubby, and 2 kids (10 & 12) shared the hallway bathroom and twin bedroom & king bed; mother in law stayed in the pool side king with en suite. We were able to take walks to the beach which was only about 2.5 blocks away, had donuts at a special spot walking distance, and shopped ‘till we dropped on Pine Ave. We also went to the little Aquarium on the North East side of the island at the end of Pine St. We would stay here again in a heartbeat because it was a good mix of beach time, relaxation time in the heated pool, and things to do and see on Pine Ave. the Publix grocery store was right at the entrance to the island so we stopped there upon arrival before going to the house, cooked most of the nights except one fun evening out to eat at the Sandbar which was phenomenal!

It was relaxing

The property was as advertised. Overall we where very happy. It was a relaxing vacation.The area isn't to commercialized yet and location was great. It was a short walk to the beach. Only thing we were lacking was washcloths and towels.

Great property with some comments

We arrived at the property and found that the house was exactly as described. It is located two and one half blocks from the beach and is within walking distance of all Anna Maria Island amenities on Pine Ave.. The house’s location is ideal and we really enjoyed staying there. We have some additional comments. When we arrived the pool needed some work and the outside trash containers had not been emptied. Palm tree fronds and debris were lying around the pool and a coconut and pool toys were found floating in the pool. A call to property management got a landscaping company out to clean up around the pool within 36 hours of our call. The outside trash containers remained full until the next scheduled trash pick up. That occurred four days later. Trash is picked up twice a week at the property. After that, the remainder of the trip was problem free. The property participates in a Water Watch program for the pool. What this means for the renter is that there are alarms on the doors and ground level windows that face the pool. The alarms will sound when you open these doors or windows. A bypass button will silence the alarm but the button is mounted so that small children can’t reach the button. Parents will have to accompany their small children to silence the alarm. There is a sun room/shed at the back of the property with screened openings that you can use during your stay. However, over time the magnetic latches on the screens have been compromised and remained open. We did not use the room. None of these issues got in the way of us enjoying our stay. The house was clean and inviting. From the front door, you enter in to the living room that has big windows some of which face East. It was our favorite room in the morning. We highly recommend the property.

Summer in the Fall :)

My family and I had a great time during our vacation in Anna Maria Island! Our rental, Coconut Lagoon, lived up to our expectations and was the beautiful escape we hoped it would be. The house (which looked like the pictures online) was clean, spacious, and comfortably hosted our family of 8. The house was well stocked with clean linens, kitchenware, and the basic necessities needed in a vacation home. As a friendly note, there is an alarm on all of the doors leading to the pool and it is super sensitive (and loud, lol) so be cognizant of that. As far as the location goes, the island isn’t that big and seems to be more of a retirement area, so if you’re looking for someplace with an exciting night life, this likely wouldn’t be your cup of tea. If you are looking to simply relax and unplug for a few days (which is what we wanted to do), this might be up your alley. There are quaint shops along the island such as French bakeries, homemade ice cream shops, and breakfast eateries, etc, that were pretty cool to visit. Since we went during Halloween, we were able to get some good old fashioned Trick or Treating in for the little ones, and in 80 degree weather! The beach was no more than a block away and a gorgeous place to relax for a couple of hours. Unfortunately, most of the locals in the area didn’t appear to be too friendly towards us. We weren’t sure if it’s because we were out-of-towners or another reason; however, we didn’t feel the most welcomed, so our best memories of the trip were made in the house. All in all, we had an awesome time just escaping the hustle and bustle of the world for a few days and spending time with one another. Thank you to VRBO, AMI, and Coconut Lagoon for helping to make our trip memorable!

Fantastic Beach Rental

My family and I loved this house. It's the perfect size for a family of 5 (or even 6). The kitchen / common space was a great size. The small den was a bonus. The outdoor pool area was perfect - nice mix of seating options and varied sun and shade throughout the day. Quick walk to the beach and Pine St / piers. Really a great rental - will look to book here again in future trips!

Great family home-close to beach

The house was a great layout-worked perfect for a family of 8. Pool, location to beach and layout of home was perfect! Unfortunately we are in COVID season and the house was not cleaned great upon arrival. We had to re-wash all dishes and purchased bleach spray to clean better. The staff was kind and responsive - I would not hinder this from returning, but hopefully it will be approved upon for future families. Wonderful island and great family memories made!

Absolutely fantastic cottage! Perfect location with a tropical paradise in the backyard!

My family of 6 absolutely loved this cute beach cottage with a tropical paradise in the backyard! It was the perfect location...a short walk to the beach or to Pine Ave with shops, restaurants and the general store. We rented bikes and a golf cart and either used those or walked where we needed to go. The house had more than enough space inside for my family and was well stocked with everything you’d need. When we weren’t at the beach, the backyard was a fantastic tropical place to be! Plenty of lounging and seating around the pool for everyone. And we all enjoyed spending hours in the pool! We will most definitely rent this property again!

Wonderful!

We had a fabulous week in Anna Maria! The location of the house is perfect, close to shops, restaurants, and the beach. Loved Ginny and Janes and The Donut Experiment. We went to several beaches and the one right by the house was our favorite. Our biggest complaints were the front bedroom was HOT, it was an add on and the AC vent supposedly didn’t even work (I didn’t sleep in that room). Another issue we had was the ice maker didn’t work, we called and they kind of fixed it, but it never produced much. They did come right away. They stated the hot bedroom was a known issue and couldn’t do anything about it. I will say they had several fans which was nice. Another fairly major issue was outdoor lighting. There was only one small light outside and it was burnt out part of the week. But even with it lit, it was so dark. We said so many times a few strands of party lights in the backyard would make it so much more inviting. The little outdoor sitting area was never used once, no light that worked. They used to have a tv there that would have been neat, but removed it bc of weather supposedly. The house was fully stocked, the only thing we were really missing was a cooler. Loved all the beach chairs and pool toys. The beds were great, we all slept soundly all week. One of the pictures showed a twin and full bed in the kids room, it’s really just 2 twins. I even looked back and it def looks that way in the picture, but must have just been a fancy camera angle bc the room definitely isn’t big enough for a double and twin. We liked that there were 2 sitting room areas inside and decor was welcoming. Overall a great house! Highly suggest spending $150 and improve the outdoor lighting!
