Amazing location. Management was amazing at handling any small issues we had! If I had to particular the only negative is that the pool gets extremely hot this time of year after 1PM due to its lack of shading. Other than that this place was amazing!

Bad Construction Next Door

I was anticipating construction to be happening all over the island, but it would have been nice to know the house next door was completely being rebuilt. Hammering started each day right after sunrise and lasted until late afternoon. If you think you will enjoy a relaxing time by the pool, know there will be shrill sawing all day and construction workers can see into most of the pool area, which is a bit intrusive. I understand the island is redeveloping after the storm, but I felt so deceived they would not tell me in advance of the construction next door. The house was just a concrete shell so it will go on for quite some time and I would specifically ask the status of construction if I was considering renting this home. Other than that, the home was beautiful, spacious, and clean. The location was incredible and plenty of restaurants in the area. the beach being only two blocks away was great.

Short of expectations

Our family loves vacationing in Anna Maria Island and we have been fortunate to rent lovely and elegant homes in the past. But this experience was not as all around enchanting. Pelican Villa does not measure up to its high rental price tag and is an ordinary, under-kept and not particularly clean house. It is minimally and un-generously supplied. For the first 3 of our 6 day stay, the air conditioning did not work well, making the house uncomfortably warm. A commercial repair company eventually fixed the problem. We will certainly not rent this house again.

Pool extremely dirty

The house was great, well kept and clean. The grill knob lighters did not ignite. Thankfully I packed my own lighter. The storm came through and although I tried communicating with property management they said to swim in the pool, and that they are working on having the pool company clean it asap. They never came. I booked the house because of the pool and with the price tag it was a shame we couldn’t enjoy it. It was green and full of algae. It looked like it hadn’t been serviced in a while or even before we got there. I took pictures. The neighbors pools were clean but had debris from the storm but this pools condition was terrible. I am disappointed with that aspect of our stay. Everything else was satisfactory.

Family vacation

First the location, home was fantastic, loved the layout very convenient , patio and pool area were fantastic! We would happily stay there again! The only thing we thought could have been better was the beach chairs were old and rusty and really should be updated. Also the grill had very rusted out heat fins over the gas and really made it difficult to prepare food properly that should be upgraded as well.but really over all we were so happy,

Great location!

Pelican villa was just as pictured! The house was clean, plenty of extra linens were provided which was very nice. The house is only 2 blocks from the beach and walking distance to all of the restaurants on the island. We will definitely be back!

Loved this property!

Pelican Villa did not disappoint! Our family loved our time spent there! The location was perfect for our needs, and with a toddler the beach was perfect with a very gradual slope. We ate some meals at the house which was well equipped for any menu. Walking distance to restaurants was also a plus. We rented a golf cart which was a lot of fun for touring the island! I would highly recommend considering Pelican Villa and AMI for your next Family vacation.

Not the best

The property wasn’t very clean. Floors were dirty and unit was dusty. The pool wasn’t clean. The master bath could use a major cleaning. The street that the unit is on was very busy and noisy in the early mornings. The management company was ask about early checking but we were told the unit hadn’t been verified as ready. We found a note inside that the unit was verified ready the day before we arrived. We called twice about checking in but were told the unit wasn’t ready.

Excellent Location!

We stayed here with two other couples and there was plenty or space for everyone. The location is one of the best! Easy walking distance to the beach and plenty of restaurants nearby. We walked to pick up bikes as well. Kitchen is well stocked with cookware and the pool was a great temperature! Even though the weather was not great, it was an ideal location to keep our boat in the driveway nearby. Everyone loved the property and we’d definitely stay again.

Beautiful home, beautiful memories!

Lovely home that was perfect for our family! I loved that my 3 yr old grandson could play on the screened in porch safely. The pool was wonderful and a relaxing spot to soak up the sun! We enjoyed every dinner on that wonderful porch!

Great location on the island.

With a little TLC this nice house could be wonderfuland 5 stars. For the money we expected a little more. Poor lighting in the common areas, old low lumem fluorscent used rather than bright LED. Several bulbs missing or burned out. Took a couple of visits by maintenance to correct. No propane tank for the grill, maintenance did bring one over. The carpet in several of the bedrooms is very dirty and needs replacing. One bedroom TV did not work. Some windows really need to be washed. Still, all in all a great place to stay on AMI.
