No air conditioning, no tv in main living room, lock on lower door ready to fall off, plumbing at kitchen sink very loose, large limb off entry way ready to fallâŠvery dangerous, linens old and grungy, linens in master off kitchen were way too big for mattress, no face cloths.
Suited our needs--surprised no TV in main living room, but dealt with it.Beds were great and comfy. Very clean and well stocked. Kitchen fry pans are not to be trusted. Great quiet neighborhood, great little town with anything you might need
Just wanting to warn potential travelers that "vacation rental by owner" (how Vrbo gets its initials) does not apply to this home. It is managed remotely by a HUGE property management company with 10s of thousands of properties for rent in many countries. There is zero cell service in Arnold other than Verizon, and the big management company only will communicate by text, so this means wifi cannot help you. When we arrived at this property--nice house, up a long STEEP driveway, covered in more than one foot of fresh snow--there was no way to get our all-wheel-drive vehicle up to the house. When I attempted to get someone through the Vrbo app to respond, there was an AI bot talking to me through the chat, giving nonsensical advice and answers to questions I did not have. By the time I found a working phone to call them, the person I spoke with was adamant that it's not their responsibility to clear snow to make the rental accessible. This is a rant because it really ruined the entire experience to be blown off like that. I have never rented through Vrbo and had to deal with a corporation instead of a homeowner. If it matters to you whether there is local, personal support, do not rent this property.
Beautiful cabin, spacious, conveniently located. Would have been perfect if not visiting during the summer months. No portable cooling system or window coverings to keep the heat out. Too hot to enjoy. Definitely would visit again in another season.
I would like to start with saying that my family and I did have a wonderful time despite the issues we encountered with the cabin. The place was in a great location and we were lucky enough to see some snow fall. With that being said, the cleanliness was sub par along with the amenities. We were without power for 24 hours during our trip and there were no candles and only one flashlight. Thankfully there was a fireplace but there wasnât a lighter on sight . No water glasses to drink out of and no soap to wash the other dishes with. A very friendly lady named Jolene came with glasses and dish soap once it was addressed. The owners may want to address the cleanliness issue with the cleaning company. Other than those things, my family did enjoy the atmosphere and spending the weekend together.
Super cozy mountain house with all the amenities. Comfortable beds, plenty of living space for two families, ultra clean. Close to Bear Valley. Loved bringing our furry friend along! Would definitely visit again.
The cabin was great. Nice areas for kids to play in the snow. It was nice to cook in the kitchen. Lots of beds for a lot of peoples! I would stay here again!
Great property with plenty of space and nice bathrooms as well. My husband and I went for our 1 year wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed. We'll be staying there again! Loved the wood burning stove, worked like a charm.
Home was very well kept and clean. However, because it is pet friendly, the downstairs especially smelt like dog pee. I think they may need to replace the rug in the very downstairs living room. We didnt spend anytime in that room due to the overwhelming smell of urine. Other than that, the home was great!!!
The Home was beautiful and spacious for 6 adults! The refrigerator was spotless and clean! The kitchen was great and stocked with cooking equipment.... In the pictures you will see a foosball table ( it is destroyed and has been for quite awhile đą) The ping pong table in the garage is on it's last leg đą. The AC hardly works đđđ.... Definitely worth going for a fall vacation or winter time... Definitely Not Summer
This house was really comfortable, nicely designed, bright and roomy, and in a good location. The kitchen is very nice, though you might want to bring one good pan if you're not a fan of non-stick. Beds and couches were comfortable and the place was spotless. There were 6 of us, 2 couples and 2 kids, and the bedroom arrangement worked fine with the kids in the room with all the twins. The twin room shares a bathroom with the upstairs bedroom, and a wall, so if you want more space from kids, this might not be what you're after, but it didn't matter to us. There's space outside the house between homes for snow play where we walked with the dog, that not every place has. We only saw one car on the road that leads to the house, and most of the other homes were empty, so you get lots of space outside. This place would go for a lot more in Tahoe, you get a lot for your money. Allowing dogs was a big bonus.
That all being said, we weren't so happy with the inflexibility of Vacasa who wouldn't allow us a late checkout. The 10 am checkout time is ridiculously early for your weekend getaway, but don't expect any leniency. We had to purchase another day to leave later. Also, it would have been nice if the place was warmed a little more above freezing before we arrived. A wifi connected thermostat would go a long way to making arrival nicer. Thankfully the heater worked well. You'll have to bring wood for the wood stove. The driveway was fine.
We'd definitely go back!
