Really liked the location, being right on the river, sitting in the hot tub listening to the river at night. It was a great spot for the two of us to stay at while doing snowshoeing up at paradise.
The location was pretty cool! Being so near the entrance of the national park was awesome. And even though the weather wasn't the best, some great views. Staring out at the river from the hot tub was awesome. The only down side is that both nights we lost power at exactly 11:30pm and then gained it back at 8:30am. It seemed like it was on a timer lol. Needless to say there were some cold nights. Wifi was incredibly spotty so don't plan to do any remote work. But that's what we came to the wilderness for (to unplug).
River's Edge was the perfect weekend getaway. Quiet, private and set on the river. Gorgeous views and only 23 miles from Paradise. The town of Ashford had everything we needed from bundles of wood to hot cooked meals with friendly service. The hot tub and fire pit were our favorite part of our escape from reality.
Wow, where to start. We arrived to some power surges but they were prepared and had a backup generator in case things got worse, then the HotTubs power went out and got cold overnight, we went in but it was cold. Called Meshell and in the first 5 minutes of calling, she arrived and fixed our issue. We didn't get to use it the 2nd night because it had to warm up but Meshell said we could use the other HotTub 2 cabins down in the meantime. I MEAN C'MON, service doesn't get better than that. We never got to see the backside of Mount Rainier because of the rain, but it gave a very Revenant feeling with Leonardo Dicaprio. The nightime was spooky and not a glimmer of light or 1 human being in sight. Beds were stiff and we woke up sore the first nightTons of exploring to do if your willing to walk across a tree bridge to the right of the river. Don't fall in, be slow and careful.
We were only able to stay one night but I wish we could have stayed longer! It was perfect for us going back and forth to hike at Rainier. Really quiet and the proximity to the river canât be beat!
Great location just a couple of miles from park entrance. House was as advertised. Enjoyed the peace and quiet sitting on the deck and chairs near creek bed to enjoy the view. Would stay here again if in the area.
The cabin definitely exceeded our expectations. Our road trip through Oregon and Washington revealed that some of the places we stayed werenât as described but this was the complete opposite. Clean, private, and well equipped with a backyard view. Who could ask for more? Extremely close to the national park in a quaint little neighborhood. 100% recommend.
We loved staying at this cozy home. My only complaint was the lady that just randomly walked up to the property to check the hot tub. Maybe it was in the small print or something that someone would be coming by and I missed it? She was also a little rude when I asked her what she was doing. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay and we really enjoyed it.
Excellent location for Mt. Rainier NP, plenty of food options nearby if you don't want to cook but grill and full kitchen in the cabin if you do. Bliss to jump in the hot tub then sit on the porch after a long hike. The view is lovely, and all you really hear is the river and the birds. Loved it here.
The check in process couldnât have been easier. We loved how close it was to the park, and there were plenty of restaurants to choose from that werenât that far from the cabin as well. For the day that we chose to just relax, sitting on the porch, soaking in the hot tub or walking down by the river, it was a perfect way to spend the day. The cabin had everything that we could have possibly needed. We will definitely go back!
