We knew it was a tiny house and that was okay. Listing only said toaster and maybe microwave. The town there had NOTHING open after 8 which is inconvenient after leaving the park. There was a grocery store. We were thinking we could roast brats over fire pit for dinner. The place was very hot inside with a loud box fan. There was a fireplace that no one was using due to heat. There was promised wood we would have used for fire pit but no lighter or matches. Fortunately there was a toaster oven and a double hot plate which would have been great to know. The bathroom door was right by bed and person far side of bed had to climb out bottom or over other person to get to bathroom. Other kitchen supplies were great! Sitting outside with twinkle lights was nice! WiFi was fine and all the games were a nice touch! Room eventually cooled off with open window! Location to park was a huge selling point! Please make sure you make a copy of access and directions prior to arriving as there is not service in the town near it!
We loved the cozy little Fir Cabin. It was like harry potter magic...looks so small out front, yet more space on the inside! Perfect location very close to Mt. Ranier entrance and a short drive to Basecamp. We'd love to be out there in winter sometime.
A lovely stay very conveniently located immediately next to the Paradise entrance of Mount Rainier. A very bare bones cabin, not a plush stay but great for us as a launching point before our backpacking trip in Rainier. The fire pit was cute and the host was responsive to our questions. Would stay here again if exploring more of Mount Rainier!
Best equipped, lots of extra's. Getting into bathroom a challenge as the small door only opens Ÿ way, bed in the way. And it has to be forced over the shaggy rug under the bed which can disturb someone sleeping. Further more, the towel rack on the inside of the door sticks out 4 inches making entry really hard. Recommend removing shaggy rug and better towel rackAlso they didn't give us entry code and we had to find a wifi location to contact Verbo. WiFi, which is listed in cabin's book, wasn't working.
We didn't get to enjoy our first day because we had broken down at Rimrock, so we got to the cabin late. But when we finally arrived we instantly fell in love. It's a very cozy little cabin. I could honestly live in a cabin just like this. Perfect for any couple who just want to get away. The property was beautiful. Brian and Amanda were quick to answer any questions we had. I would definitely come again. I tried uploading photos but was not able to.
Brian and Amanda took such good care of us. Their cabin is tiny, but very well equipped, cosy, and welcoming, and in a pretty spot VERY close to Mt. Rainier NP. The Nisqually entrance is just up the road. The cabin's kitchen is well equipped, bed comfortable, and there were black tailed deer right out the window. Heating is both electrically, and with a well supplied, efficient wood stove. They were extremely responsive, and gave us excellent hiking advice, and we would definitely return. They also have a larger cabin for at least 4 available next door.
Seriously. Read all of what this property offers before you stay. If I would've paid more attention we could've taken advantage of coming in earlier and making dinner there and having a fire etc. They even had a popcorn machine and such to take advantage of. It was incredibly easy to access directly off the road and was incredibly clean. They had everything there for us. Truly. This was a phenomenal experience
When we first arrived we noticed it was really clean and quite. But theirs no cover anywhere except the car port and the bagoda located in the front of the property. No big deal but if its raining you just have to stay inside since we aren't able to use the carport or bagoda. The security system you use for the door is really simple and easy to use. When we first entered the cabin it did have an odd smell, the spices definitely need to be updated (old), the blankets had an odd smell, and some of the dishes had to be re-clened. Also since the inside fire place was not available, it was extremely cold the first night and took until the next day to get warm with the oil heater and wall heater. One major inconvenience was not having a stove and having to use a flat top burner for the pots and pans, causing it to take over an hour just to make any cooked meal. Also when using the toaster and hot top at the same time, it would trip the breaker. The WiFi connection was extremely poor for the phones and constantly would connect and disconnect. The bed is comfortable, but the frame is really really shaky. The TV had no problem and was nice to watch. The shower was amazing and had good water pressure and heat. We absolutely loved our stay at your property, we appreciate everything that had been provided to us he games inside the cabin, all the extra utensils, complementary popcorn, coffee, condiments, tea, towels provided, plenty of toiletry/papertowels, garbage bags. All amenities
This cabin is the perfect place when visiting Mt.Rainier. Just a mile from the entrance and the cabin has everthing you will need. They even had snacks/water all condiments and even pancke mix and syrup. The yard was beautiful with a cute firepit to sit around at the end of the day. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful cabin.
Cozy cabin would be perfect for a single person or a couple. Nicely close to Ashford and Rainier Park. Great launch point for us for hiking. Easy check-in and out.
