The price of this hotel compared to the quality is why I am rating it two stars. It was the fourth of July weekend when I stayed, so I understand the increase in pricing. However, this hotel was very rundown and something you might expect to pay $80 per night to stay at. We paid 259 per night to stay here. I have paid less per night to stay on property at Walt Disney World so the price shocked me once I arrived. The bathroom had rust and stains throughout. There were two body wash dispensers, no shampoo and an empty conditioner dispenser. The room was mostly clean when we arrived but very dusty. The lighting was even more dim than you would expect from a hotel. We did not utilize the pool, but that did look very nice from the outside. Overall, I would not stay here again if I returned to Ashland for vacation.

Rooms are large. Lots of things for families to do! Fun pool, yard games, board games, fishing equipment all out for guests. The sign outside is misleading as it says splash zone instead of Americinn, so I drove past it.

Good place to stay

AmericInn was perfect for our needs, we boated all day so it was lovely to come back to the hot tub, sauna and pools. The only issue was the breakfast was very light. Peanut butter and jam would be great for the English muffins. Bananas would be lovely. The front desk gentleman was a nice, happy guy.

Absolutely filthy. Torn, filthy old carpeting with a huge ripped gape through the center of our room. Rusty vents and ceiling, moldy shower surround, filthy pool area. Hardly any lights worked in pool area and it was so dark in there! Cloudy, dirty pool water. Uncomfortable beds. Outdated and sad. Staff were extremely unprofessional. We knew we were in big trouble when pulled into the parking lot and saw black mold everywhere on the outer siding. And sooooo overpriced. We stayed in many lovely hotels on our trip… but this rundown one, at $234 a night, was the most expensive! What a let down. Buyer beware.

This is a water park, so it says on the sign, we didn't see it. It appears it has a a newer part of the hotel connected to it which is where the breakfast area is. The old part of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired which is where our room was. The shower was a mess. I would not stay there again

The staff here was wonderful! We arrived early, and they sent housekeeping to our room to get it ready while we played bags outside. That night, we returned very late from our project that we worked on and Jeff greeted us at the front desk and gave us a ton of information about the town, and even gave us several bottles of Artisan water from one of the wells in town! We would go and refill them a couple of times the following day. However, the property could use a bit of TLC. It’s pretty dated and worn in places like the carpet and tile work in the bathroom. While it might have been cleaned, it didn’t look clean because of the wear. There’s even a smell in the room, we’re guessing it’s the carpet. Very much enjoyed the outdoor area by the lake. The games were fun to play while enjoying being right by the lake.

The AmericInn sign was gone due to a storm months ago. We drove right past the place because we couldn’t ID it as the hotel. We unpacked and realized the sink wouldn’t drain, had to repack & switch rooms.

The room was amazing, i got the best sleep ive had in several months, the pool area floor was quite slippery and my friend almost fell walking into the sauna area so maybe an uphrade of the floor in the pool area. Other then that everything else was fantastic.
