Wonderful location, Wonderful Staff

The hotel is ideally located to access downtown and all major attractions of Aspen. The staff was particularly helpful with activities and suggestions for things to do in town.

Lovely hotel, pristine and welcoming. Florence at the front desk was friendly and efficient, did everything to make guests comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was perfect. We enjoyed freshly brewed coffee, OJ, and a toasted bagel with cream cheese and yummy preserves. Walking to downtown shops and sights was a breeze. Superb location near private residences and wooded bike trails. Recommend.

Our room was horrible-nothing like the illustration for the booking showed. Down an unlighted stairway to a long, dim and narrow basement hallway. Window: looked onto a brick wall. Microwave and coffee maker: nope (no way to get coffee until a tiny breakfast counter -sparse and cold- opened at 7:30). Bathroom from the 1940s so small it was impossible to turn around. The staff was helpful, but it didn't overcome our disappointment. Worst hotel experience in many years of travel.
