This is an excellent location for exploring all that the area has to offer. We were 15 - 20 minutes away from the wineries, the towns of Paso Robles, and Templeton, and just minutes from the heart of Atascadero. Home is very comfortable with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. We especially enjoyed sitting on the patio and watching all the birds. Overall a very quiet setting. This kitchen is easier to use if you are very tall, which we are not. There is a step stool for reaching the dishes. We didn't do any cooking so can't rate the supplies.
Really great property and super nice host! Would recommend this property to anyone traveling to the area. Safe and fully equipped. Beautiful views from the patio!
The property is beautiful, isolated from busy streets. We loved the backyard as others have noted. Although described as having washer and dryer you have to request access. The owner lives next door and is particular about how you enter and exit the property. He also left many notes around the interior no doubt to avoid any potential problems. We prefer more privacy so will not return. Suggested for kitchen: hot water kettle, large skillet, flat baking sheet, large bowl for pasta like dishes.
Property was nice but the interactions and the notes around the place from the owner were not great. We went slow driving in and the owner left a note to drive walking speed. Then the listing said it had air conditioning but the sign in the place said to shut off when you leave so when we got home at night and tried to cool the place down we found out that it was locked at 75 degrees. So the first two nights were very hot. Then we told him and he said it was programmed and then said he could maybe fix it when we threatened to go to a hotel because of medical issues. He ended up fixing it.
Great location close to 101 with easy access to Templeton, Paso Robles and Atascadero. Groceries are just down the road. The owner is very nice old cowboy and he has a surprise for you.
Thank you for sharing your cottage. The details and style reminds me of an Italian Villa. Very clean, complete kitchen and comfortable bed made for a relaxing get away. The private yard was perfect for my pup, exactly what I was looking for. The host, Bren was great. He shared his spices and they added wonderful flavors to every meal. He has two of the happiest dogs who greeted us with wagging tails. Will return next time we are in the area. Cheers.
Lived up to expectations in every way. Property was quiet, secluded, and had everything we needed for my friend and me. Beautiful, quaint cottage. Kitchen had everything we needed, beds were super comfortable, and the backyard patio was perfect for morning quiet times. And Bren was very helpful (and his homemade spices that he offers with the rental were fantastic!). Definitely recommended.
We loved our stay at Brenâs place.
The house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay.
The location of the property was excellent. Very close to the highway, so easy access to the wineries.
The place is extremely quiet. It is very relaxing to sit outside and look at nature.
The beds were very comfortable.
We got to meet Bren the owner. He was very pleasant to talk to.
We all agreed that we would stay there again.
We enjoyed the comfort of the place. Very welcoming and had everything we needed. Bren is very hospitable and always available if we needed anything. Love his doggies.
Absolutely fantastic little place! Easy to find, great location, very quiet neighborhood and beautiful outdoor setting. The house was clean and very well stocked with everything one would need. We saw deer, grouse, and more birds than you could imagine; many different types. Bren, the owner was a delight to get to know. Very friendly and great communication. If I am ever in town again I will 100 percent stay here again.
The property and amenities were even better than we were expecting. Cleaned to a super high standard. Nicely appointed and well stocked. Would without a doubt return here if our itinerary brings us back.
A perfect place to use as a base for wine tasting in Paso area. Beautiful quiet setting, great backyard patio perfect for mornings and evenings spent sighting deer, owls, hummingbirds and more. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, close to everything. Bren the owner was great and very easy and responsive to work with. There was even a small garden and we truly enjoyed the fresh ripe tomatoes! Our party of four all agreed it was a great find.
Where to begin?
Firstly, you won't be disappointed. The pictures and description don't do the place justice. Everything was really lovely. The kitchen was well appointed with everything from a cast iron skillet to a crock pot. It was clear throughout our stay that the host had thought about and delivered on the details.
The property is clean and up to date. While the style is old world charm, nothing seems dated or heavily used. The air conditioner worked well, the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms are lovely. Water pressure is impressive too.
We loved the back yard. It was a a perfect oasis with lots of shade, two lawns and a gas grill. The vegetable garden was looking pretty good.
Don't hesitate to stay here. We would definitely stay again.
This is an amazing place to stay. In fact, I really don't want to share, due to I would like to keep Bren's jewel a secret. Everything from communication, to the furnishings, to how quiet this place is was top notch. I appreciate Bren and being able to communicate with him directly. One thing which stood out immediately was how clean everything was. Yes, some places are "clean", but this place was over the top clean. It was amazing and sanitized to the point of I felt at home. I hope to stay at Bren's place again in the future and I look forward to being able to share more great reviews. Thank you for having us Bren and I hope you will have us back in the near future.
Everything was lovely, the back yard was special and we even saw two huge owls on one of the evenings that we enjoyed sitting in the back yard. We saw a deer one day when we came up the driveway. The one downside (the reason for 4 stars) was the internet connection was spotty. Fortunately, my husband did not have to work this trip, but if he would have had to work, the connection would not have permitted that. Everything else was lovely. Bren left us some of his spices and we enjoyed those thoroughly.
Stay here! With so many places to choose from in the area, this place was by far the best pick! With large grocery stores and restaurants around, it still felt remote. Itâs situated on a beautiful large property with the most scenic backyard and patio. The house was super comfortable and clean. The beds and linens were top notch. The owner, Bren who lives nearby was extremely kind and generous. He brought us a collection of his own brand of spices which were awesome and told us to use any of the vegetables we wanted from the extensive vegetable garden growing in the back yard which we did and it was incredible to have fresh lettuces, spinach and broccoli! We asked to have a small bbq for a few folks that were also in the area and Bren brought over an outdoor heater and spare chairs. The fridge was stocked with bottled water and there was oil and coffee in the kitchen to get us started. Every day so many birds came to the backyard plus such pretty hummingbirds to drink from the feeders and the sweetest group of deer that would make appearances from time to time. Thank you Bren for a fabulous stay and being so hospitable!
We had a wonderful stay here, it was very comfortable for our needs. The property was clean except, the living room couch is a little tired and dirty . Bryn was a great host and Lucy and Lacey were a pleasure . They greeted us every morning đAll in all a great spot for my husband and I to relax and get away for a small stay.
This home is better than the photos -- spacious, bright, clean, and well-equipped. The back patio is beautiful with deer right beyond the fence every morning. Bren, the property owner, is very kind and helpful, made us feel right at home.
