Classic City Apt

The apartment had plenty of room. Having 2 bathrooms and a full kitchen was very nice. The residence was very clean. Ample parking to accomodaye all guests on the property. There are a total of 5 separate residences on this very spacious property. It would be great for exyended families to stay. I couldn't find where the property had emailed me the check-in info so we had a momdnt of challenge in getting into the property. This is why a 4 star was given on check-in. The property management was timely in communicating with us to get into the apartment. The apartment was in a safe, quiet and well-established neighborhood. It was also near many of the activities we accessed. We would definitely recommend this listing and would stay there again.

Two Night Getaway to Athens, GA

We stayed here 2 nights to help our son find an apartment in Athens for his upcoming enrollment at UGA. The apartment was centrally located to everything, but it felt like you were tucked far away in the forest. We even caught a glimpse of a deer grazing the property as we arrived one evening. Throughly enjoyed our stay!

Nice Place, Musty Smell

The place was nice, well located and appointed and very clean. The beds were also extremely comfortable. However, probably through no fault on the part of the owners/managers/cleaners, there was a strong musty smell that was noticeable the moment you walked in. We were in the middle of a road trip and washed our clothes; those that we left out to air dry and even those that were in our suitcases smelled strongly musty for the rest of the trip. My husband and daughter noticed the smell but did not seem to be as bothered by it as I was. If you are someone who is relatively unbothered by this sort of thing, this unit is a bargain. I would stress that this unit is a nice place, and there is nothing wrong with it, other than the smell. Having grown up in the South, and having spent many days and nights in my sister's college rental in Atlanta, I understand that Southern old house mildew can be hard to defeat. If you can hack it, you'll be fine. If not, look elsewhere.

Came for the marathon

We have stayed in this unit before. The key pad didn’t work but a call to rental host got us in. It did this last time we stayed as well. The heat never really made the unit warm. So we had to really bundle up. I’d imagine all the windows in an old building makes it difficult. Only thing we needed to cook was a regular size baking sheet. Otherwise this is a great rental unit for a weekend in Athens.

Walking distance to UGA campus and downtown Athens, in lovely neighborhood. Enjoyed 2 King beds and 2 full baths, perfect for two couples. Fire pit with firewood was a nice touch.

Great location

Description of the property was very accurate. Rooms are a good size and king beds are awesome (and a rare find in many vrbos). This location is perfect for easy access to UGA in a quiet neighborhood. We were there for our son’s parents weekend and this was a great place to stay!

Our stay was good. The only problem is the accuracy was off it had a gravel drive and the stairs were very steep for someone with trouble walking it made it hard. It should state about the driveway and the stairs. Also the dryer continued to run no matter how long you waited. Internet crashed every evening between 5 and 6 pm.

One Night Stay

The home is very cute, once you find it. There are quite a few homes on the property with the same address and no signs. The home is divided in half and shared with two different families. FYI. Fire pit had a fallen tree across it and was unusable.

Property manager was great, communications were always quick. There are several units and at first I was a little confused trying to find which one was ours - not 100% sure if I just missed something obvious or that part could be a little clearer on the listing. Once we were in, place is awesome, whole little area is super cute, and location is great, so I’m actually bookmarking this one

Family visit in Athens

The 2 bed, 2 bath upstairs cottage was great! Clean and fresh, light and airy spaces. Beds were comfortable with great linens, fans in bedrooms. Location for us was excellent and loved the beautiful neighborhood. We saw deer and many birds during our stay. Only caution would be that stairs are a bit steep if you have any one in your group that might have difficulty with up & down stairs. Thank you for a fantastic place to call home during our family visit!

Worst experience

The listing was deceptive as it did not state someone else was in the bottom of the house in a basement unit. When we arrived and opened the glass front door we were hit with a strong musty odor.The windows were also disgusting and need to be replaced. We decided to turn all the fans on to see if we could get the air moving. The carpets in the back hall were stained and damp and need to be replaced. One of the bedroom doors would not shut all the way and had a door chain on it. Left for dinner and came back to a new smell of marijuana. My teenage daughter and I decided we would once again turn the fans on to get the air moving. This did nothing to help. The downstairs tenets were yelling and clearly altered. We ultimately packed our things and left to go to a hotel. We felt unsafe as the rental was isolated and illegal activity was occurring on property. Beware the management company would not issue any refund and blamed us for not calling them to handle on the spot. This didn’t feel safe as we were isolated with a glass front door, bedroom that the door wouldn’t close all the way and two females alone. I did alert them as soon as we left the property and the next morning they denied anything happened as they contacted “the other resident” who told them so. I would run far and wide from MPM management company and this property.
