Had a great time! Comfy bed, great A.C, and plenty of room for 3 adults. The pull out couch wasn't super comfortable, it seemed to dip at the head but that could just be error user. Our hostess was super sweet and very prompt with any questions or needs we had. 10/10 would stay again!
We felt very mislead with this listing. First and foremost, this is a true studio listing - absolutely not a 2 bedroom. beds are in one room with no seperation or privacy. We were aware that one bed was in the living area (couch bed) - which was so uncomfortable that we could not sleep in it. The other bed was very uncomfortable as well and also in the same room. When we arrived, after letting the host know what time we would be there, we could not get into the house and it was pouring rain on us and our 2 young children. We called several times, texted, messaged and had to wait over an hour in the rain before the host let us know that she got the code backwards. She did offer us some money for that inconvenience but it was a very hard night for our kids waiting in the rain. All in all it was the worst vacation rental our family has stayed in and i would not recommened more than 1 or 2 people staying in the studio unit and also would not recommend for more than one night if you are looking for comforable sleeping arrangments.
Great week stay; was in ATL for class at Emory University. Nice quiet location, nice neighborhood, and easy to get around. The apartment was clean and well furnished. The host communicated and kept me informed and asked if I needed anything for my stay. Parking off street made this stay perfect. Thanks so much.
Perfect location! Super clean and cozy. Stephanie was awesome and super friendly! This beats staying in a hotel any day (first time b&b guests) We will definitely be back!
My adult son and I had a long weekend just with. Stephanie was great with suggestions for dining and activities. She communicated great with us! The apartment was perfect with the beds. The pullout was surprisingly comfortable! It is an up and coming area and you can see the improvements happening everywhere. Will 100% stay here again!
Traveling with our 6 year old and 6 month old, the washer and dryer were a huge perk since this was our first and longest stop of our 7 day vaca. The only downfall was the bed.. it seems like someone had slept in one spot for very many years, so my husband and I would roll towards the middle of the bed throughout the night. The owner was very responsive and helpful, and even allowed me to Amazon a package to her home(mom-brain forgot an essential)! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in the well named-Cozy Retreat.
Reasons for stars The four for cleanliness and check-in. We were contacted at 7:07 pm (four hours past check-in) by owner that the cleaning person wasn't available and the turn around would be past check-in time, we laughed because originally we were going to go check-in and drop off our car load but then decided to stop and visit family first. So not a huge inconvenience just not very professional. Four for accuracy of listing. Yes, we knew shared laundry facility however, there was no way to lock the door into the shared area. This did not make us very comfortable. Another concerning issue was using the electricity. I can't say we have every stayed anywhere that had a note on the door about being charged extra for going over in electricity usage. We received a message that an energy alert had been sent and asked us to turn the AC off when not there and the apartment stays 'relatively cool'...Utilities are very expensive! (yes, with an exclamation mark) I do believe 'relatively cool' is an opinion and not one we shared. FYI We paid for the use of the apartment, service fees, and cleaning fees this includes usage for a very small window AC.Lastly, a three for location. Well, the street the house is located on looks to be a quite and maintained street however, one street over (both ways) NOT so much. We actually laughed that it reminded us of a mini Bourbon St....A place we don't visit and we are originally from Louisiana. Overall we stayed 2 of our 3 nights.
Stephanie was helpful and kind during check in/out. The space was clean and came as expected. The outside area was awesome! I'm not sure four grown adults would comfortably fit on the two beds (one of which is a pull-out), but the two of us had a great time!
The description is very accurate, the location was very cozy and communication with Stephanie was great! My girlfriend and I greatly enjoyed our time there while we were in town for a convention, and the apartment was in a great location to be close to all the events in Atlanta as well as Little Five Points. We definitely plan on staying there again the next time we have events to go to in the area!
Stephanie is an awesome host! She accommodated my at the last minute when we had a change of plans. The apartment is great! And the neighborhood is the coolest in the ATL!
This is our third stay at Cozy Retreat. Stephanie is always very responsive to our questions. We especially enjoy using the full kitchen and the sitting room. And walking to nearby Morelli's for ice cream!
Apartment was clean with plenty of amenities. We were in a quiet neighborhood, but close to stores and restaurants. Host was responsive, helpful and friendly. Photos accurately represent the apartment.
This was a perfect place for me and my friends to stay. Getting in and out was easy and the location is walking distance from EAV for activities. Area felt safe and walkable. Home was clean and well equipped.
Stephanie was wonderful from the beginning! I arrived just after a snow/ice storm and she had cleared a path for me down to the apt. Her home was perfect for what I needed- my trip was business, but wished I couldâve explored the neighborhood a bit. Bed was comfortable, TV worked, nice work space! Would book again.Thank you, Stephanie- I enjoyed my stay!
The stay was okay due to what we were in town for. It was short notice and it wouldn't let us book for the day of but Stephanie did go in and make arrangements for us. The neighborhood is quite quiet. You are sharing the home with her, you're just staying in the basement area. When we walked in it was like an old smell to it. The ceiling is very low so if you're a tall individual this probably won't work for you. It's definitely not a two bedroom. It has a very small room that's open to the rest of the area. It has a pull out couch that was comfy. She did dog sit for a friend while we were there & omg that part was horrible because it kept running and whining loud. The home was clean but I did find long strings of hair in the bed.I didn't know we were sharing the laundry room. Overall she's a nice host.
