The house was clean and comfortable, and the check-in process was easy. We stayed just a couple of nights to explore downtown ATL, which was about a 10min drive. Atlantic Station is a very short drive away for restaurants and shopping. It has a private driveway, so we didn't have to worry about street parking (which would not have been difficult). It is a quiet neighborhood with very little traffic.
We really enjoyed staying here. Perfect size for the two of us and our two dogs. Conveniently located for where we needed to be. The only compliant we had was due to the 4th of July. Nothing specific to this place itself, but there were huge fireworks going off until about 2am, and a ton of noise in the road due to a party going on until about 3am. Other than that, no compliants.
There were four of us staying here for GT graduation. Checking in and out was easy, parking was fine, and communication with the host was good. The location was good for walking to campus so we didn't have to contend with parking. Also 15-20 minutes to restaurants in Atlantic Station or to get to Midtown (Whole Foods/Publix). As far as the house, it was generally clean and all appliances worked. We had enough dishes for cooking and eating, etc. Beds were nice. No kitchen towels or bathmats, however. The rooms have closets but no dressers. There are folding tables in the closets that can be set up. It's an older property that's showing some age, which is normal for original Home Park houses. The doorknob on one of the bedrooms kept falling off. We noticed a new one in a drawer in the kitchen, so perhaps the next guests will benefit from that. They had ordered new cornhole games, but these were still in the cardboard box they were delivered in and we didn't have time to put them together and didn't want the responsibility in case they were damaged during shipping--again, maybe the next guest will benefit. The outdoor cushions are showing their age, porch floor and walls are OK but need a good pressure wash. We pulled a pan out of the cabinet only to discover the last guest's eggs still encrusted on it. No bueno. Thankfully that was the only dirty dish. Otherwise, the house sufficed for what we needed over the weekend, but we probably won't stay here again.
We're a family of 5 visiting Atlanta. The location was prefect for easy access to the aquarium, museums and lots of restaurants. House was clean and everything was as described.
Came in town for The Ohio State National Championship run. House was perfect, great host, great location, exactly as described. Easy breezy, from check-in to check-out. Next time weâre back in Atlanta would definitely stay at the same place again. Great neighborhood was able to walk to the train. Restaurants within walking distance also.
Overall a great stay. Very clean, great location. My sonâs and their wives are young adults and they loved the location. Great spot for dining and shopping.
We had a great time. The house was perfect for what we needed it for it is not spacious, but there are enough rooms for a family. The backyard was great because we had our dog and it was fenced in very convenient neighborhood. I felt safe being there very close to Georgia Tech Very close to the activities that we did.
Easy to get to and very close to downtown Atlanta. Area felt very safe. Good stay for a few days with family. There are no chests for clothes so be prepared.
One of our family goals is to visit all the MLB baseball stadiums. The house was perfect for a short weekend get away to Atlanta and Truist Park. The location was perfect, and the back porch was a great spot to relax in the evening. The house was super clean. I would recommend to anyone. Atalanta has a very cool vibe
We had a great stay for the weekend at this location - the pictures were exactly what it was like. The game machine turned out to be a big hit and good entertainment. Backyard space was very spacious, little too hot to spend too long out there but enjoyed it anyway. Super close to midtown Atlanta places, and had everything we needed for a quick weekend trip.
Good place to stay, but not for more than 4 or 5 people
The outdoor space was the reason we booked here. The horseshoe pit is small but fun. One of the shoes were missing. The cornhole was fun, itâs small travel size boards and the space where they are is uneven. But we arenât there for tournaments. Just fun with the kids. The fire pit is fine. No firewood, they just leave a few âduraflameâ type logs. But itâs more for effect and to help keep bugs away. BBQ was old, rusty and dirty.
We had a group of six and it was tight. The listing says up to eight, definitely not. One small bathroom. The bedrooms are small and have just a bed. So plan on your clothes and suitcases being on the floor. The beds were comfortable, linens were nice quality.
The light in the dining area did not work, we even tried a different bulb, the room with the bunk beds has no light either. Bring a sleep mask though as the shades arenât room darkening. Very bright once the sun comes up.
Nice neighborhood which seems to be an up and coming âmore upscaleâ. Lots of renovations goin on.
I reached out to the owner via vrbo message, phone call and text a week ahead of time with a few questions and he never replied. That didnât give an easy feeling a week ahead of the trip.
All in all it was a good stay. Iâd give it an overall 3.5 Probably will not stay here again.
For our wedding at the Center for Puppetry Arts this was our prep location for the bride and her bridal party as well as our getaway location. The house, style, and decor was perfect for us and will be reflected in the bridal partyâs photos. This was the perfect place because of itâs proximity to the Center for Puppetry and the accommodations of the owners.
The house was clean and comfortable, and the entertainment was great. Classic arcade games, horse shoes, cornhole, fire pit, screen porch - all terrific. Loved our stay.
