Although the land around the property is quite beautiful, the property itself is quite cluttered. I didnât like hearing someone tromp back and forth above the ceiling in the mornings and fairly late at night. One of the reasons that I avoid hotels is to NOT have to listen to the noise of others. All three overhead light fixtures had burned out light bulbs, making the interior fairly dim for my aging eyes. That said, nicely appointed, very comfortable bed, nice views, and a good base of operations if you intend to explore Auburn, Grass Valley, and Nevada City, all of which are about 20 minutes away. And the price is reasonable for what you get.
