This hotel is very nice. It is an old building that has been sympathetically updated. It is in the perfect place, a few minutes walk from the train line. Breakfast was very good with the added attraction of amazing views of the fjord.

It’s very close to the railway terminus and harbour. For a tiny place, there are restaurants, a pub and tourist shops. There are also temporary food stalls. Perhaps because there was a cruise ship in port and there were very many tourists, we had to wait until 4 PM to check in. Some folks went into town, some to the bar and some to eat, I did dome laundry in the hotel’s free laundry room. One washer and two driers but nobody else was using it so our stuff all got done.

Choice in the centre of Flan is limited, this hotel is tired and in some need of modernisation. The location is fantastic, but it is a transit station for coach parties, the food is reasonable, but expensive and is a buffet. If you want good food head for Flam marina much better.

Family trip to Flam

Nice hotel in a fantastic location. Beds were fine. Sofa bed which as a family we used was fairly terrible. Breakfast was excellent. Location is world class. Staff were friendly.
