Title: Unsafe and Unacceptable Stay
I awoke in the middle of the night to find my bathroom flooded with dirty water originating from a backed-up drain. I immediately contacted the on-duty manager, who stated that no action could be taken because the hotel was fully booked. He instructed me to âdeal with itâ and use a shared bathroom on the first floor. He also asked whether the issue had been reported the previous dayâwhich it had notâsuggesting prior knowledge of an ongoing plumbing problem.
This was a serious health and safety hazard, not a minor inconvenience. I was exposed to what appeared to be sewage-contaminated water, resulting in the loss of personal belongings, including toiletries and other items that had to be discarded. Due to the unsafe conditions, I was forced to leave the property at approximately 4:00 a.m. and arrange for my son to pick me up.
The manager additionally refused to relocate me to a nearby hotel or provide a full refund.
This experience was unacceptable and represents a clear failure to meet basic health, safety, and guest accommodation standards.
