We contacted support a few times and they nicely told us our issues had been reported but nothing happened. We had no wifi the whole stay and the door code was ridiculously long and very difficult to get the door open. I requested they give us a key or shorten the code and that never happened. Vacasa only said they reported it. They said that a few times. I wanted someone to reach out and speak to me about my complaints but only after I hounded them after we checked out did anything happen. They gave me the equivalent of one nights price to make up for not having wifi, but there was no human interaction. :(
The apartment is a nice little spot in a great location. The property management company through VRBO is a nightmare. Good luck getting them to provide any help whatsoever. I'll do my best to never rent through VACASA again.
We enjoyed our stay. The condo is decorated really cute. The bed was comfy. We enjoyed being able to walk to South Congress. I will say bring your sleeping mask as the sun came up early & blinded us. Blackout curtains would help.ve been nicebeen nice
Great little condo a few blocks off South Congress Street. Loved the Austin themed decorations. Very comfortable and very clean. Lots to do and see nearby. Highly recommend!
Stylish it was but thatâs where it ended. There was grit on floors and cabinets, a nearly empty liquor bottle on a shelf, and very uncomfortable furniture with a bed frame being held together with a zip-tie. The grill was shared and I wouldnât use it given its condition, the stairs were uneven and the railings were rusty and peeling paint was a concern for cuts. The location was wonderful and the most positive thing about this property.
The property is located in a very nice updated mature neighborhood. Reminds me of the beautiful homes and trees in the Heights in Houston. I enjoyed walking through the neighborhood and to Congress where there is plenty to see and do. Short walk really. The property is older but well kept. The unit was extremely clean.
Great spot for my wife and I on our first visit to Austin! Quiet, comfortable, neighborhood location close to downtown, Barton Springs, restaurants, shopping, and more. Communication with Vacasa local management team was very good!
Location is great. Unit was not ready at 10pm on checkin day
The location of the unit is very good and it has all the basics necessities.
However, the unit had not been cleaned when we arrived at 10 pm on check in day. There were used wet towels everywhere, slept in bed, unemptied trash in the bath and kitchen, dirty dishes, used tissues on the floor, etc. I contacted Vacasa and sent photos of the unit. Eventually we got a call from the local manager. We asked to have it cleaned. He said that wasnât possible and said heâd relocate us, but could not say where or how long that would take. It was 10:30 at night and we did not want to wait an unknown amount of time to get moved to a place that we hadnât chosen and did not know anything about. We made the bed ourselves using clean linens that were in the closet and cleaned up the unit as much as we could so we could get some sleep.
We said weren't comfortable with having cleaning staff in when we were not there - the manager was insulting and rude and said we couldnât decline the cleaning.
The next morning left for the day and returned to a clean unit that had no towels in it. We called the manager and were told that the towels would be delivered shortly. We waited, wanting to take showers before we went to dinner, but at 6pm there were still no towels. So we were not able to shower before dinner.
After phone calls and emails to Vacasa we have gotten a partial refund. But it really isn't enough to make up for the bad service.
All in all a frustrating, bad experience.
Stayed for a work event. Space was clean and easily accessible. A 30ish min walk from downtown or quick Uber/scooter. Didn't have much communication with property manager as it wasn't necessary since it was easy enough to manage on your own.
This location was great. Itâs an apartment on the 3rd floor (stairs only), which has a small but well-appointed kitchen, tons of extra supplies, and super cute decor. We could hear our neighbors occasionally but it was mostly quiet. Very close to shops and restaurants on South Congress. Free parking, rare in Austin. Only ânegativeâ is that the bedroom does not have blackout curtains so the light/sun woke us up every morning. That is a very minor thing though and we would definitely stay here again.
What an amazing, comfortable, and beautiful condo. Centrally located to shops, dining, and Medina Hof, this newly renovated condo is the perfect place to call home on your visit to Bryan/College Station.
