The only thing I would change is remove the fire place and put in a dresser. There was a small closet but would have loved a dresser for convenience. We ended up leaving most of our clothing in our suitcases the whole time.

Staff very nice and accommodating. The property is very run down and needs work. Room very dark, windows small. Using smart tv was pointless, no cable or satellite availability. Needed to have your own streaming accounts. Which if you did, the internet was very spotty and was off line more than it was on. Needed towels in evening, staff left at 4:00. Bed very uncomfortable.

The room we stayed was very small, the good thing is that have a small fridge and a microwave. Stairs to go to the rooms, very poor internet connection. Good location, walkable distance from Catalina ferry dock, shopping and dining area.

Beautiful view from the roof deck. The beds were cozy and the hotel is walkable to the ferry and all the shops and restaurants.

The staff was so helpful! They went above and beyond to help my husband with his duty in getting snacks and drinks for the paddlers. Shout out to Amber, Michael, and Nicole in assisting him with shopping and transporting the goodies from Vons to the pier. We so appreciate you and will definitely be back as our go-to place to stay while in Catalina.

Quaint, old home that has been converted into a b&b style hotel. Quiet and a great location. Avalon is small enough where most attractions, restaurants, bars, and beaches are close by.

110 year old house converted into a hotel. Quirky, but in need of proper renovation. Shower/tubs were in chipped, corroded condition and shower heads were fouled with mold and deposits. The staff was pleasant and they moved me to another room, which was bigger but no cleaner. More reasonably priced than other places on the island but about a 7.0, definitely not a 9+.

Was fine, stayed for 3 nights. First night there was a water leak from the ceiling. From the bath tub from the floor above being over filled, wasn’t a major leak just a consistent drip. Called the number and the guy came right away but was told they didn’t have another room to move us too so he threw a towel down and said that’s all he could do for now…. The water stopped after a bit but was still a little irritating. Other than that it was fine. Wondered if they would give us a discount or something for the inconvenience but nothing was offered….not a big deal. Close to town, staff was super friendly, and room was super clean. A little outdated but clean. Also while upon checking in was given a tour of the room and amenities by Amber, she was amazing! That being said I would more than likely stay there again.

Older building very close to all. Enjoyable rooftop patio. Room was clean buy overall could use simple upgrades. Small but suitable. Priced appropriate but if I went back to Catalina I might look for a nicer accommodation.

I've stayed here a number of times. My only real complaint this time was that the jets for the warm tub advertised did not work at all. Also, the fridge seemed warm, and I wasn't sure if it was working properly. This was for the "Loft Room". If I was staying longer, I would have went to management about it but I was just there for one night. Usually, the hotel has been better. They need to more on top of things. The hotel room is too pricey for the amenities not to be functional.

Awesome time! We loved the ambience of the room. It has rustic charm. The ropftop has a beautiful view of the island.What iloved most was that the staff was kind enough to hold our luggage until the room was ready. We were able to enjoy the island without tugging our luggage around. They also watched our luggage after we checked out so that we could continue to enjoy ourselves until it was time to leave the beautiful island. Our room had a lovely huge hot tub. Perfect after a long day of walking. Extra bonus!
