Amazing stay! Leah and all the staff made our family so welcome the moment we walked in the door. The kids were looked after showing them the skittle alley, darts board and tele, and introduced to all the dogs who they loved! We had plans nearby in the evening but could have happily stayed in the lovely pub all night!
Wonderful from start to finish! Beautiful rooms which are set round the back of the pub and are more like little houses!
Felt so safe and slept so well, the beds are like clouds!
Beautiful quaint little pub where we had our breakfast the next day which was cooked to perfection! Leah was very attentive and the perfect host.
The rooms were very clean and had everything you need!
The owners were really nice and friendly . Felt let down with the room. Cob webs everywhere and dust around the skirting boards and the bathroom felt dirty and not properly cleaned. We also found a lot of hairs in our dinners inside the pub which was abit disturbing. A real shame as like I said the place was really friendly but could do with a make over and abit more hygiene put in place
Unable to check in on arrival. Pub was shut. No Wi-Fi or phone signal to contact owner. Left a message. Was notified by a passing lady that village fete was on and pub owner could be there. An email from owner in advance would have been appreciated and a courtesy. Waited outside for over an hour
We were warmly welcomed into a really lovely room with everything that we needed. Room was clean and comfortable. Food was delicious and plentiful, and kids needs were looked after. We were given friendly and and helpful advice when we asked about where to go fossil hunting. A lovely village too. We even bumped into a lady who was on her way to unlock the church and gave us a tour of the 1000 and 800 year old carvings!
We stayed in an apartment in the courtyard, which was very comfortable and we all had a great night's sleep in very comfy beds. Breakfast was delicious.
We chose to stay here for the convenience of having the bar and dining on site at the end of a busy day. This worked on Saturday but when we went to eat at 7pm on the Sunday evening we were told that the pub is closed on Sunday evenings. This hadn't been advertised when booking or even mentioned when on site which was disappointing

Bedroom was large with double sofa
Beautiful freshly cooked breakfast
