Can I just say upfront this hotel is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a stay in Ayr or nearby From friendly staff, clean rooms and fantastic food through to the relaxed ambience of the bar...can't go wrong.

I book this hotel for my elderly parents a couple of times a year. Their recent stay was very comfortable & staff were very friendly and helpful. They enjoyed an excellent dinner & breakfast.

A comfortable and spotlessly clean room. The bedrooms are a little dated but the cleanliness and comfort made up for this. The breakfast was lovely tasty and hot. The location is amazing. Only 2 mins to the beach and 10 mins to the town. It also offers free parking. The bar is well stocked and great service.

The dinner was good served hot & in good time, the breakfast was also of good quality & choice. The staff were excellent, very friendly & helpful. THE only negative was that the bed was very hard & bot my wife & I had a poor sleep.

The Horizon hotel is an absolute hotel jewel in Ayr's crown From stunning views to lovely clean bedrooms, amazing food to great staff it has it all. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Tracy the manager of the hotel has charged an additional £50 charge as they say we smoked in the room. Seen as we dont smoke i think this is ridiculous.

I had a wonderful stay at the Horizon Hotel in Ayr, Scotland. The staff were warm and welcoming, the rooms were comfortable and spotless, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. Breakfast was also excellent! I truly enjoyed my time there and would happily return.
