Family Getaway

We loved the location of Lighthouse Point. Being so close to the marina, grocery and the Bald head island club was great. The golf carts were in the best shape of any we have used in the past 5 years. The house was as advertised and we really enjoyed our stay

Traditional Memorial Day family time

We loved the house altogether! The amenities of the great golf carts, bikes, and beach toys in the garage for our family's use were wonderful! We loved the hammock and the grill to cook out! We spent lots of time together on the porch off of the living room in view of the ocean - what a wonderful opportunity all day long, morning to night! We loved the easy access to the beach! We had a wonderful time!

Weekend made for relaxing

Our overall stay was amazing! We initially had a minor hiccup but I was so impressed with how everything was handled. The property is beautiful and has the perfect setup for enjoying the ocean view or relaxing in front of the tv. Bald Head Island is such a fun place! Exploring on golf carts and eating good food is a perfect way to spend your vacation!

Girls Weekend Vacay

The house was exactly as pictured. Very clean and had all the features to make it a prefect little getaway. The owners went out of their way to ease our arrival and departure. We would gladly stay at 4 Snowny Egret again and again. The location of the house is great with an easy access to a lovely beach.

We had a wonderful stay and have nothing negative to say. Two comments, the freezer was producing frost and not efficiently producing ice, an ice machine would be a nice addition for the well planned kitchen. The Keurig was a little messy to use, descaling would remedy that. Thanks for sharing your home on a American Treasure Bald Head Island.

Fantastic Stay at BHI

My family had a wonderful week-long vacation at Bald Head Island and a primary reason was our awesome rental! The house was a vibrant, comfortable, and well-stocked home base for all of our beach activities, and the view from the decks are tremendous. Included little details like provided beach towels, starter washer/dishwasher pods, tons of baby/toddler equipment, etc. just add to the ease of planning a week at the beach. And they had it all here. In addition to the five-star physical characteristics, I cannot say enough about how responsive the owners were during our stay. We had a minor issue with the fridge when we arrived and it was fixed in no time and on a Sunday to boot. Basically this was the complete package for a no-stress, awesome beach vacation.

Highly Recommend - Great Home - Great Location - Great Owners

When I go on a family vacation, I want everything to go smoothly without any problems. Everything was perfect with renting Light House Point on Bald Head Island. Owner communication was tremendous. We cheated a bit and took a private boat/taxi to (and from) the island with BHI Delivery (which I highly recommend). The house was great and well equipped and comfortable. Easy (and short) walk to the beach. It was a great family vacation -- kids enjoyed it, and mom and dad were able to relax. Highly Recommend. Thank you.

Great getaway with friends and family!

A group of 6 adults and 2 children stayed for a long weekend. The house was equipped with everything needed for the kids (as the listing showed) making traveling to the island easy. Owners were extremely helpful while planning the trip with our 2 children. They sent over a packet full of information about the house and island beforehand and answere all of our questions in a timely manner. The house was fantastic! The living space was a great size for our group and the kitchen was large enough to cook meals. The bunk bed room was far enough away from the other rooms and upstairs; so nap time and bed time worked perfectly - even while the adults stayed up and hung out! In addition, the location was amazing. A short walk to one of beach access points and a short drive to the BHI club. Overall, we would stay here again!

Our New Favorite Bald Head Island House

Our family spent two full weeks at Lighthouse Point in the summer of 2022 and we absolutely love everything about it. The house is very clean and in excellent repair. More importantly, it was stocked with everything we needed, especially in terms of kitchen supplies, beach towels and equipment, and children's toys). We have been visiting Bald Head since the early 1980s and has rented a different house along South Bald Head Wynd every summer since 2011. Lighthouse Point is our new favorite rental property and we hope to return next year. Our favorite features definitely included: - the ocean view from both decks, - two (actual) master suites with private baths and king beds, - being very close to the Bald Head Island Club but not next to its beach access (which gets busy), - three streaming-enabled big screen televisions, and - a smaller downstairs living room for children to play in. We have no reservations recommending Lighthouse Point to anyone. The house is wonderful, the owners were extremely kind and helpful before and during our stay, and the location might as well be oceanfront.

Excellent Rental Home

Everything was fantastic about this rental home. The hosts went above and beyond to have everything for our comfort and entertainment. The location is perfect being across the street from the beach and halfway in between the harbor and the market. The views are stunning and everything was comfortable - the beds, couches, etc. Very clean and well built home with lots of upgrades. 10 out of 10. Highly recommend.

Wonderful Getaway

This house is excellent for families with children of all ages. It is well equipped with anything you could need. We did have the grandparents stay with us for a few days . Ages 72-75 and I think the stairs were a bit challenging for them especially with luggage. The house was in order and very clean. We do have a child with moderate to severe asthma who had some issues secondary to dust . However, I think most rentals have a certain amount of dust. This place is wonderful. I highly recommend staying here. We would stay here again!

The house was all the was promised in the listing. Immaculately clean and with everything we could possibly have needed. Golf carts were outstanding and the bikes were in great shape too. Kristin was VERY responsive and answered all our questions promptly. While not front row on the beach, the architect has done a masterful job with window placement that makes you feel that you are front row as the unobstructed views from much of the home are stunning . We could not have been happier with the house, it was perfect!

Weekend birthday celebration

Our family (grandparents, son and wife, and two young grandchildren) thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend vacation at Bald Head Island/Lighthouse Point (4 Snowy Egret). The home is conveniently located to the Bald Head Island Club and state of the art children's playground, and there is a beach walkway directly across the street from the home. We would definitely stay there again.
