This place is 1/10. The property manager did all he could, but the units are so dated, words cannot describe. Imagine furniture from the early 90s that is so used and abused, youâd find similar quality near an abandoned dumpster. Goodwill would no accept this sort of furniture as a donation. There were bugs in the shower. Hair from prior tenant. The fridge motor is was so loud that it sounded like an aircraft in the living room. At 3am, I gave up and unplugged the fridge to try and get sleep. Location- solid spot, just outside Banff proper. Downside is itâs right by a railroad with trains blaring horns regularly during the night. The manager was very gracious and did all he could to accommodate- he even let me look at two other units as alternatives. Unfortunately they were almost exactly the same- so beat down and outdated. This place would be an incredible investment/turnaround project. The units could be remodeled/updated to bring them into the current century. I hate to leave a harsh review but I feel it my duty to inform my fellow man. Hopefully the feedback will be used to take correct measures and make this spot great.
Unit dated. Living room furniture quite dated uncomfortable to sit on. Vinyl dining chairs have surface splits in vinyl. Very minimally stocked kitchen items. This condo is an upstairs unit so have to carry items up steep set stairs. And unit itself is two story. Lots of stairs
Great location for access to local sightseeing and really quite. Condo was really dated, needing maintenance. Wall paper tearing off, tile surround falling off in the downstairs bathroom. For a party of 4 adults and only seating for 3. Love seat and 1 chair. Needs second chair. Resort laundry was unusable and dirty.
Ă Little deception about the condo itself and Banff Rocky Mountain lodge who are old and should be renovated. The condo is overprice for what it is . Next Time in Banff , I will look to stay somewhere else.
The property advertised is very misleading. It does not say it is part of a holiday complex. And the standard is very basic and poorly equiped. The central heating was non existent the majority of our stay even though it was reported faulty a number of times. The staff were very helpful but the problem with the heating remained in some rooms. The garbage collection / capacity on the site is not adequate. The standard is well below that previously experienced
We very much enjoyed our stay. This property, while not the newest, is in good shape, has great staff and clean comfortable rooms. Our was two bedroom condo type, everything was in place. We also enjoyed a fireplace with wood. That can be purchased at the desk. You can stay so.ehwere newer and much more expensive, but this is just fine.
Excellent location for skiing. Had a wonderful time in the mountains. Great views and scenery. Love the wood burning fireplace every night. Cozy, cozy, cozy!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The unit was clean, there was good communication from management and we had no issues at all. Would stay here again.
This was a great property to stay at.
There were a few minor hiccups that were appropriately dealt with by the property management company. This included no heat in the condo and a lack of kindling with the wood bundle we purchased.
The beds were comfortable. While the actual bedrooms were a little on the small side, they were just what we needed. It was lovely to have a fully stocked kitchen and 2 bathrooms.
There is a nice little restaurant on site that we enjoyed.
The only reason I did not give this stay a 5 star rating is because the heat was literally turned off (i.e., the hot water heating was disconnected) and we needed the property handyman to come turn on the valves for it. This was done in an expediated manner.
Very good stay and other than for a minor misunderstanding with regards to paying for amenities, which was quickly and easily resolved, all was as per listing. I would recommend this location if you want to visit Banff but don`t want to spend your evening in a quiet, quaint location. I would definitely stay there again if I needed accommodation in that area again.
Great basic condo/townhome and would stay there again
Really liked this place. It was a little bit more rustic than what I expected based on the pictures, but it was totally sufficient for our girls' hiking trip adventures. But our condo completely met our needs. It was very clean, the beds were comfortable, had a great little kitchenette and plenty of space. Nothing fancy - just the basics. It was about a 5 min drive from downtown, and frankly was kind of nice to be off the beaten path. The service was excellent at the lodge, and the group we rented from was extremely responsive to any questions we had prior to our stay. Would recommend for sure.
We stayed one night and were upgraded to the âwolfâ condo. The condo was very clean and neat. Front desk answered all our queries on arrival and check in was easy.
When retiring for the night, we found the blind had been removed from main bedroom window and the screen was skew. We called front desk and they said they would send maintenance up right away. After 5 minutes they called back and said maintenance didnât have any blinds in stock. They offered to move us to another Condo. We were unpacked and our guests were already in bed, so I declined. I asked for a discount because we would now have to make our own plan, which we did. We took a towel and secured it with screen onto window ( which it looked like the previous guests had also done).
Front desk offered us a vouchered breakfast for the inconvenience. The breakfast was buffet style and quite nice. The staff were pleasant and courteous.
I would definitely stay here again. It is easy access to Banff and surroundings. I found it nicer to stay there than in a hotel in town (which o did a couple years ago). I recommend travellers stay here.
I took a weekend away from work with my three teenage children to explore Banff. What a wonderful treasure this VRBO was! Met all our expectations -- above and beyond!
This property is located just off the TransCanada highway and was an excellent base ro spend time in Banff (5 mins by car) and Lake Louise (about 45 mins by car). The property is a bit dated but clean and comfortable. We'd consider staying here again if we're in the area.
Can't beat the price and location, but was kinda run down and dirty
First off, you get what you pay for. There wasn't a better bang for our buck in Banff. So for the price, it was excellent. That being said, a few things were a bit run down, and you could tell it hadn't been fully cleaned in a while. Still had a great time though and the staff were all very nice.
Convenient lodge with very friendly and helpful staff. They always picked up the phone when I called with questions before our stay. The rental itself was clean and cozy, a typical ski lodge accommodation. There were a few rambunctious and loud teens in the pool/hot tub area, but not much anyone can do about that.
Overall pretty good. Nice complex. Only 3 small windows so hard to ventilate when it was warm (85*F that week). Open windows meant road and train noise. Living room Furniture needs to be replaced. Clean. Beds okay but very small bedrooms.
This property is a resort that you could book directly or through Expedia and should not be booked through vbro. I ended up paying hundreds of dollars in fees on top of a high nighly rate for an outdated room with old furniture.. Book directly at mountain resorts.
This was a cozy, nicely sized condo unit with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The common area and kitchen were well set up, clean, and had everything we needed. I didn't expect the massive staircase, so had to work through my fear of heights to get to the room. The staff was friendly, helpful, and polite. Be aware that it's a bit of a drive to the Banff township, so not easily walkable. My only complaint would be a lukewarm late night shower because the water heater couldn't keep up to occupancy. Other than that, I would totally stay here again.
