Wonderful Mountain GetawayOur stay at Beech Mountain from October 15â20 was fantastic. The condo was clean, comfortable, and perfectly located for exploring the area. Beautiful fall views, peaceful surroundings, and a great host who made everything easy. Highly recommend for a relaxing mountain retreat!
Great experience in this condo just a few minutes away from Beech Mountain slopes. Everything was clean and we particularly enjoyed having the two fireplaces to keep us warm after a day of skiing. There were spices in the kitchen and coffee/tea which we appreciated. We would come back and stay here.
Excellent stay, loved the fireplaces and the primary bedroom and living room. Plenty of space outside for my kids to play in the snow. Deer everywhere and one of the most beautiful views I've ever seen. We skipped the ski resort except for tubing because it was so crowded. Overall a great time! We brought the kids from Florida to see snow and succeeded. The morning of our last day the view was even more extraordinary because all of the trees had frosted white. I would definitely stay there again. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
Great location. Very recently renovated with plenty of room and seating to relax. Property was clean, quiet and 2 minutes from the Beech Mountain parking lot.
This property was wonderful! Lots of little details! Location was amazing for skiing/snowboarding! Literally 3 mins away from the slope entrance. Super easy to come back after a morning on the slopes for a quick lunch and rest then back at it for the afternoon/ evening.
We arrived at 4:26PM EST to find the 2.5 flights of stairs leading to the front door of the condo covered with 6 inches of snow and ice (photos are available if you care to see). We called the host, Carolina Stays (CS), to have someone come to remove the snow and ice so we could safely get down the stairs. CS called the owner and HOA and neither did anything. CS said it was the HOA's responsibility. After multiple phone calls to CS, they didn't help either. We were afraid to go down the steps with luggage. I am almost 70 years old and my wife is 74 years old. My wife fell down 3 steps at the bottom of the first 2 flights of stairs trying to get to the front door. I found a cultivating rake in a nearby shed and spent 3 hours removing the ice and snow myself! I fell down 6 steps while doing what a GUEST should never have to do! Local and national news reported that a major winter weather storm was going to hit more than a week before and during the storm. The HOA, CS, and owner ignored this information and could have prepared the steps BEFORE the storm hit with salt/brine/sand/anything to make the stairs safe. We are expecting to be refunded at least 2 nights stay minimum for doing the work that the HOA should have done before we arrived.
