The welcome at arrival was unmatched. We were made to feel like visiting friends. The room was quaint, clean and well decorated. The Manor was well maintained and the gentleman at the front desk was more than helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend a visit.

Favorite Stay

The staff is super friendly and helpful, always offering advice on the best hikes and spots around Acadia and Bar Harbor. I like the assigned parking next to each room and that this hotel isn’t too close to the shopping streets. Conveniently just a 10 minute walk to Main St, this place gives the ultimate quiet comfort after a long day of hiking/sightseeing. Book early because they sell out fast!!

Expensive but nice

Prices are high in Bar Harbor. This was no exception. But the room was nice, and the location was convenient if you don't mind a small walk, which we didn't.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bar Harbor Manor. Rooms were very clean and even though we could not use their laundry facilities, they directed us to a nice laundromat to dry our wet clothes from our Katahdin hike. The walk to the main shopping/eating area of town was pleasant and safe.

Everything was great - location, sleeping, towels, Chris & Syd, grab & go breakfast, cookies, candy & parking. Unfortunately, the toilet seat was very loose, and the shower head seemed backward & stubborn to turn on. In the end, we truly enjoyed the walking convenience to the "downtown" & "bar" path, restaurant recommendations, & closeness to Acadia. We easily could go back again to our 1st floor room! Can’t think of anything positive to say. The room was dark, dingy, stuffy, small, felt dirty. Noisy hearing footsteps from upstairs. No views - view our bedroom window was the garbage and out the front window was the parking lot. Everything is outdated. Bathroom very small.

New England Trip

Plenty of parking available. Room was very nice/elegant. I will definitely stay here again when I return. We enjoyed the balcony each afternoon - the weather was perfect. Also, we could walk to the restaurants, shops, and Acadia National Park is only a short drive away.
