I can't rave enough about this property. The grounds are immaculate the view is spectacular -- the rooms are clean - beds are super comfortable -- esp the sheets and comforter and the staff bent over backwards to help. I highly recommend the homemade muffins and granola! We will be back for sure!
Property location, waterfront view and staff were great. The pastries were excellent. The biggest negative about the property was the paper thin walls and the loud plumbing and exhaust fans. The sounds of the water pipes and toilet flushes were too loud and the bathroom fans from other rooms felt and sounded like a generator was running. Other than that, everything else about the property and staff were great.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. Itâs difficult to beat the great views from the room balconies and it was easy to walk into Bar Harbor on the Eden path or take the free shuttle! Grab and go breakfast was good. We loved the charm of Bayview.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms and view were beautiful. Loved the shuttle service downtown. Just an all around great experience!
This boutique hotel has great water views and an incredible staff. They helped us with every aspect of our vacation, from hiking trails to restaurants.
Pros: Booked a premium room on the top floor and the views of the bay were spectacular. The staff was good and mediocre - depended who was helping us. The bed was extremely comfortable.
Cons: It is not as cute as in the pictures - the furnishings seem cobbled together and nothing really matches. The bathroom just got a minimal uplift during whatever remodel they did. The breakfast was terrible - sugar filled yogurt, dry muffins and granola. The granola, while sugar filled, was the only edible part for me. It is a pretty good walk from downtown - where all the restaurants are. And the person who recommended a lunch spot to us didn't even bother to mention the horrendous parking mid day in town. So dropped my husband off - and then called the hotel to say I was coming back and if they could please shuttle me into town. The response was not helpful saying they didn't start the shuttle until 3 pm (it was 2 pm). Finally I heard the nice man in the background say he could help us. Either way it wasn't a great experience.
Bottom line - I spent a lot of money for a not great experience. We dinner at the Veranda at Balanced Rock Inn, wish we would have stayed there.
My husband and I spent several days here while visiting Bar Harbor/Acadia. It is. A great location- only a couple minute drive to the main restaurants and shops and under ten minutes into Acadia park. We enjoyed the friendly and helpful staff, great views, and easy parking. One note- while the lobby and common areas were updated and modern, the room itself seemed a little dated. Overall it was still a clean and comfortable stay.
Amazing hotel, amazing location, amazing staff. This property was wonderful, very clean, and quiet. Easy to get to downtown bar harbor and Acadia. Excellent views out of the rooms. Incredibly clean. They even have fresh delicious pastries daily. Whatâs not to love? If I ever come this way again I will be staying at the Bayview.
