The property is conveniently situated just off the main road in Barnard castle, it is at the end of a dingy looking alleyway with a very tight driveway. Upon arrival, the decoration looked aesthetically pleasing but we soon realised that most aspects of the house were badly designed/ not practical.The house was not cleaned well before we arrived, we had to empty a bin in one of the bedrooms which was filled with stuff left by the previous occupier, we also tried to vacuum as the floors were dirty but the vacuum cleaner provided did not work very well. Most things in the house like the kitchen tap were wobbly/ almost broken. It would have been nice to have a tea towel/kitchen roll and a little dustpan and brush. All in all, we made the most of it and had a pleasant stay, would we return to this particular? Most definitely no. P.S. they should make it very clear about the £25 damage waiver before you book.
