Size of our family room was brilliant. However the air conditioning/heating pumps were underneath our window. The noise all night was awful. Especially around 6am when the noise increased!! It was a shame because staff and breakfast were brilliant. Rooms a bit shabby, especially the shower.

Not a chance I would stay there again

Average hotel, needs an upgrade, our greatest concern was with the lady from the front desk at the reception. From check in until we left, she had an attitude about everything. It’s a shame bc everyone else in the UK was amazing, but not her. No A/C in the majority if rooms, food was less than average. Definitely would not stay there again.

Wonderful staff.

This was the first time that we had stayed at the Holiday Inn in Barnsley. Although we used to live in the town so we had visited the hotel many times for functions and meals . The hotel was clean but in need of a refurbish. However the staff more than made up for any downsides, they delivered exemplary service.

Terrible. Put in a room next to the lift that vibrated the room all night. Breakfast awful, looked like it had been out for days. Receptionist wouldn’t offer a refund on even the breakfast that we didn’t eat, nevermind an apology on the room

Lovely Stay in Barnsley

Nice overnighter after an office party. Airy big room with everything I needed. Lovely buffet breakfast after a decent night's sleep.
