Musty with great staff.

Lovely staff. Food good. Bedroom so needed updating as was faded and dated but they had done the bathroom. Musty smells abound sadly. Again staff so lovely and helpful. Thank you.

We had a nice stay and the staff are great. This is the second time we have stayed and was extremely disappointed in the breakfast quality this time. Food was dry and juices not replenished and it wasn’t even busy. The room was extremely hot too so not a pleasant experience by far.

This place made me feel sad and unwanted. The general manager was excellent to us but the restaurant manager clearly didn’t want us there and neither did his staff, who was mysteriously gone as soon as dinner started. At 5pm. On Father’s Day. The Father’s Day special was expensive. The appetizers were pretty but completely flavorless. The entrees were not bad but hard to enjoy with the atmosphere. I think this is the first time in my life I’ve ever had to force myself to eat. The gardens around the building were once beautiful but clearly neglected. We found an abandoned beer glass outside with drink residue and dead maggots inside and a film of weather filth on the outside sitting on one of the garden tables out back. The mattress was actually comfortable but the room stayed hot because the air wouldn’t flow through the room.

it’s not my first time here, we come annually for a forces mental health charity called talking2minds. Never have an issue with the room to staff always friendly and the food I’ve always found to be excellent. You certainly can’t fault the buffet style breakfast.
