Basically clean and comfortable with a great layout, especially for families. Great location near the lake and easy access to Main St. as well as Belmar and Spring Lake boardwalks. We used only 1 of the 3 bedrooms/baths. The kitchen was very well equipped, the king bed was very comfortable and the shower was large. The street is divided and narrow, the driveway will accommodate 2 mid-size vehicles. The cleaning service missed a few spots (ex: bathroom exhaust fans haven't seen a cleaning in a while) but overall we were happy with our stay, especially given the reasonable off-season price.

The property was clean and had plenty of room. The kitchen had more than enough pots, pans ect for making meals. The dishwasher was quiet so that it did not bother us when watching TV in the evening. It was great having the locker at the beach so we did not have to drag everything back and forth. The beds were comfortable. Would defiantly stay again. Great location!

Stayed a few nights

The house was perfect for our Easter weekend. We had 4 adults with plenty of room. Nice neighborhood and walkable to beach/ boardwalk. Felt very safe at all times of the day. Beds are very comfortable. Easy check in and host was prompt when we had any questions or concerns. We did sit out back one evening and it was very relaxing. We didn’t use the grill, so I can’t review the outside grill. We had no issue with the wifi or TV. The home fit all our needs. We would definitely return and stay again. Highly recommend this home.

Comfortable, clean and great location!

My family had a great start to the summer staying in this lovely home. We walked every day to the beach, bicycled around the lake and really enjoyed our stay. Home was just as described, clean and well stocked. Loved the bottle of wine left for us too! Convenient to Shop Rite and local restaurants. My two older kids enjoyed their own private bedroom and we were very comfortable. Loved the porch in the back for our morning coffee. Also am so grateful to the owner who responded quickly to some personal items we left behind. He arranged to leave them on the porch for us to pick up next day. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Love the 1818 House

Each year, my friends and I meet at the Jersey Shore for a weekend to reconnect and relax. We were able to do just that—even though the weather didn’t cooperate! This is a lovely home with three large bedrooms and bathrooms. It was very clean, and we appreciated the little amenities (like the side lamps in the bedrooms with the built in phone charger). The location is close to the beach, and a few restaurants are also within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.

Lake Como is Gorgeous

The place was well sized, well-appointed and the host is SO SWEET and communicative. He helped out with bringing some casserole dishes and bakeware for the holiday, even though this is a beach rental! He went out of his way to help and I appreciated that so much.

Perfect house for the summer

The location is great right near Joe's and minutes from the beach. House is spacious with great bedrooms and plenty of showers. Also, the bikes, beach tags, and beach locker were an added benefit. Really enjoyed the backyard perfect for grilling out.

House was very clean, pictures are totally accurate, and the owner was responsive when we reached out with a minor/simple question. Plenty of room and the yard was really nice. Enjoyed some coffee in the morning out there and it was really pleasant. Great place to stay!

Very cold!

We stayed at the house over the Christmas holiday. Luckily, we were mostly at our families’ homes. It was an extremely cold weekend, but the house seemed like it would have been cold had it been in the 40s. There is heat upstairs, but downstairs there is just a scary heater on the wall. The second night we were there, the pipes to the master bath froze (luckily did not burst), so the toilet and shower didn’t work. We contacted the owner, who said that it had happened before and offered to come to the house (which we declined because the issue is that the house is not really winterized). So for the remaining 4 days, we had no use of that bathroom. He never offered even a partial refund (and even in the winter they advertise this place as a beach house and tout how you get beach badges, etc.!). There are slate floors on the first floor and in the master bath with hardly any area rugs, which was cold! Bottom line this is a summer rental that they are trying to get some additional revenue from in the winter.

Just right!

As stated in my title it was just right. I couldn't ask for anything better for my family of 4 and 2 inlaws. Home has a open floor plan on lower level for entertainment and fully stocked kitchen. Excellent for our 2 night stay.

Great location and property

Close to everything and well cared for. Only issue was we did not get instructions to get into the property until we called the management company. Apparently they forgot to send out the email with instructions. Property is great and close to beach and middle of town. Liquor store and little snack shack is around the corner. Place is much large than expected or appreciated by the online photos.
